Writer's and Artists: How do they see each other?

As a writer who doesn't draw, I've come to have this fascination with people who draw and create art. I ended up writing a story about an artist, but since I never actually was one, it's just how I imagine the world of an artist being.
As someone who is an artist, who's aim is to create true beauty, and stir feelings in people's hearts,through the creation of their pictures, how does this kind of story look to you?

And there's the reverse. How do artists view writer's? As a writer curious of the world of art, I wrote a story about it. Do artists ever draw pictures of how they picture the world of a writer to be like? Do you have your own view of how you imagine it's like as a writer?

I wanted to make this to connect the two worlds, and hear what people have to say from on both sides.
