| I want to see this animated by Bones so fucking badly right now. They're seriously the only studio that could do this artwork justice. But I have a bad feeling A1 Pictures are going to get their dirty hands on it and ruin it. Only the talent from Bones could handle all the fire effects and animation consistently. This mangaka has seriously entered my radar as a potential genius, his understanding of how to compose fights in manga is something I've never seen before. In general anything action related seems to be executed beautifully by him, with the finnese only a veteran mangaka could have. And his artwork, style and brilliant understanding of character designs elevate this shonen manga to a new level. I also appreciate his use of experimental panels sometimes, it's a nice touch. In one of the earlier chapters there was an interview where he said he approaches manga in such a way that it could only exist as a manga and no way in live action. Heck, this manga seems to be almost impossible to adapt as an anime because of the flame/fire aspect. |
