Sword Art Online (light novel)
| So I was just doing a cursory search to see if there's any news of a season 3 and found this: http://en.yibada.com/articles/166894/20161013/sword-art-online-season-3.htm Now, I'm not the one to believe every rumor, but what worries me is the following excerpt: "Apparently, Skydance Television, the giant production company under Paramount Pictures, has acquired the television rights to the said anime." In another article it's specified as "global rights". Anyone know if it's true and if so, what it means for the future of the series? I'd hate for it to die (and I don't believe in live-actions) before adapting the Alicization arc (read the novels and was definitely excited to see it animated). Thoughts? |
| Hmm I wouldn't put any weight behind anything from that site. Not sure how others take it but from my own experience it's all about the clicks. One day it will post an article claiming season 3 is due out in spring the next day it will have an article claiming it's delayed due to lack of material or something. Usually if you do a search for any anime news you'll find them, ecumenical news and Christian today with articles upon articles regarding release dates and future seasons with little to no substance. As proof just google sword art online season 3 and if your search like mine is the same, you'll see 2 of the 3 sites mentioned on page 1 lol I googled before typing that sentence to be sure I was right. |
| So,after the news when will be SAO III: Alicization arc will be animated?? Hope can get the news and will be aired at least next year,2018....... |

| This anime should've ended at S1 episode 12. Now tt's just getting worst and worst. |

| Sword art online was an overrated anime IMO, it was ok i guess but i didnt care for it as much as most. I could believe a S3 because of how good it did and with the fanbase |
