Rinne is surprisingly more masculine than she looks. Still we now get to know how Rinne turn into what she is today bullying from her classmates and her coach. Either way the plot is progressing now, Rinne challenged the Nakajima gym in the U-15 Winter Cup.

I am inching for some fated battle. I believe the series will make it so Rinne and Fuuka will have the final fight, so our favourites in Nakajima Gym will lose to Rinne in a way. Rinne may have a hard and sad past but still, its bad that she discourage the contenders like that after their lose to Rinne.

Vivio have won against Rinne last time but this time i don't think she can win thou, so Einhart have a higher chance of winning. Well either way the fated battle will still happen.

I'm starting to dislike Rinne now. She's almost nothing like what she used to be during childhood but if anything, I expect the climax match will be between her and Fuuka.

Decent episode. I'm hoping they introduce some other powerful fighters at the Winter Cup. There's a lot of potential there.

I kinda want Miura to dumpster Rinne.. Make that the second Vivid title she stole.

Liked the stadium, and all the shots of the girls up in the VIP area, the announcement felt pretty awkward though. Rinne's trainer is sufficiently douchey, hopefully there's a proper fight between her and Nove.

More training then I guess?

So the fateful encounter and it seems the girls have some issues to solve amongst themselves.
This could be very interesting and i wonder how it will turn out.
Rinne somehow reminds me of Fate.

It's like Quattro died and reincarnated as Jill. Seriously, their personalities felt the same, as well as them equally annoying the hell outta me.

So far, not really feeling all too hyped about Fukka and Rinne's eventual fight. On to training.

Hoping to see Vivio and Einhart and their matches later on.

Seriously I think the only chance Fuuka have is fire Nove and get Nanoha to coach her.

Rinne looks so muscular when she was training. Her match against that one girl was over so quickly. I really don't like Rinne. I hope she gets her butt kicked. Her sportsmanship is terrible.

If this turns out how they make it seem like it's gonna turn out here, with Rinne beating everyone until the final match with Fuuka, I will be disappointed. And Einhard is gonna compete in the "under 15"? Wut?

Also, the fight was very lackluster. Watching Rinne just pummel her opponent in a mere minute is boring.

Carrie's transformation was lit.

Miura and Vivio are ranked competitors, but Rio doesn't get any love, FeelsBadMan.

My thoughts at the start were simple "Rinne is ripped." That girl has worked like mad to reach the condition she has.

I'm curious how matchups in that tournament will play out. It'd be a bit impressive if somehow everyone in the Gym fought Rinne on the way to the finals. More likely we'll see them matchup against each other in one case and face some of the other top competitors. At least one of the Nakajima group will likely face Rinne, but I think that would be it. Not even sure Fuka vs Rinne will be the final. They could have that fight play out in the semis or something. Have Fuka's final fight be against someone like Einhard or Vivio. More of a pure and positive competition after the more grueling struggle.

Nothing too shocking with Rinne's situation. Although the coach is heavily suspicious. Completely plausible for he to be evil. The bullied turning into a kind of bully isn't too crazy and does happen. Rinne getting on the wrong track in a hurry. It might not be unusual, but it can still more than serve for good drama between the characters.

This fight was ridiculous:
- you are ranked 8th
- your opponent is ranked 1st (?)
- after watching myriads of movies with your opponent you should know the differences in yours powers/strength/speed/etc AND you know what kind of personality your opponent have
- you have been beaten by your opponent in seconds (0.5 minute of episode) not using any attack nor magic
- you cry because your opponent told the fight was bad
It wasn't that good but what do you expect from her to say? "You should work harder. Next time you may beat me" Really? If she couldn't beat her now I bet she wouldn't beat her in the future.
To be honest, I start to dislike her opponents. They are like kids, crying over every single thing (under 15, duh). The 8th should thanks Rinne for consideration ("I'm glad I didn't hurt you").

Einhart is just 13 you know. She was 12 in Nanoha Vivid, this series takes place a year later apparently.

Rinne didn't have to say anything. There's nothing to say after beating someone like that. Just leaving would have been fine. She just went over to look down on her.

Not only that. She have checked her opponent conditions ("I'm glad I didn't hurt you").
She looks for strong opponents to beat. Sure, she doesn't treat her opponent as fighters (after fights) but she still care about them as human beings (as what we can see from the 2nd fight we have seen [this episode]).
Telling someone "it wasn't good fight" isn't very good but it's not mocking other fighters.
To be honest, I think I start to like Rinne's character.

Hmm Rinne is a surprisingly interesting character
And her training was pretty intense

Rinne's adapted parents seem to be pretty nice and caring

Wow the girls look so different outside of their gym gear lol

Transformation scenes was pretty well done though

Wow that fight was super fast
Carrie had no chance whatsoever to land a hit
But man way to rub her opponents defeat in like that

But man putting Fuuka and the girls in the hot seat with
her announcement lol
But its nice to see that they all managed to deal with it nicely

But man Rinne's next tournament will be her last
But its to see that Eins, Miura and Vivio agree to fight her and
complete her wish. Wow Fuuka's introduction and challenge to Rinne lol
Brave and kinda funny lol

So from the scenes it seems Rinne wants to be strong because she was
bullied in the past and does not want that to happen again
The death of her grandpa also affected her a lot

Still that punch was a massive overreaction

That last scene there showed the resolve of not just Fuuka and Rinne but
also of all the girls there that want to help Fuuka
That was a great scene there

Overall another great episode

It's not like their age actually changes or increase with it. Besides those are just enhanced form not their actual/usual body state.

Well, besides everything that's happening in the real world concerning Nanoha, you have to remember that what Nanoha specializes in has nothing to do with Striker Arts, that's Vivio's thing, and Nove is her coach. I can't recall off hand who else among Nove's fellow Numbers were close combat specialists, but if any of them are, then it would be good to get some diversity in the training. ummmm It might not just be me but... Who here hates! Rinne? because this episode just made me really SUPER annoyed of a character she currently is.... i mean we find out how she had to go through some sad/cruel events and turned into character she is today... but it might just be me..... did anyone else find her attitude annoying on how she treated her best friend and the others?

Age is also connected with experience and mana reserve.
Although in that logic Sieg should hardly pass for U-20, with all the "muh ancestral combat experiences!"...

I think being bullied in school combined with the passing of a respected figure(her adoptive parents seems to be really busy people, so perhaps grandpa was closer to her) is justifiable on the "get strong" mentality.
Plus, the verbal abuse is uncalled for, yes, but it was also showed that she didn't mean to hurt, just with some really awkward communication issues.

Age is age, that has nothing to do with experience or mana reserve. By your logic Nanoha and Fate should be considered 15-19 in A's because of that which isn't true. This is just them using magic to make their body grow bigger, it doesn't change their age or anything. And it's only temporary, they still revert back to their true form.

Yes, it is annoying but it is the building block of the plot. She turned bad because of bad people and to revert her back into the same old sweet Rinne the protagonist will make her way into martial arts to face off and beat some sense into her. If not for her annoying attitude there would have been no story. Think of it as a plot requirement and it may be of less annoyance.

I'm not totally bored but...i might be a little bored haha. I'm considering waiting until the episode before the last to binge watch the rest. I already want to skip right to the tournament.

The trainer seems to be the main antagonist rn. I don't like her, but I guess you're meant not to haha.

I don't really know what to say about Rinne. Choking Fuuka like that made me want to roll my eyes lol... She has a compelling reason to want to get stronger, but her inconsistent attitude is kind of annoying- still they're all pre-teens and teens so I think you can give them a pass(to a certain extent).

Which brings me to my next point. The fanservice in this show is annoying af lmfao. I guess the girls "transforming into their 18yr old self" is an excuse for oversexualizing them but come on. Do they really need to have their tiddies out while fighting lmfao...And them repeating "under 15 category" just makes me feel like "wow these really are like 12, 13 and 14 yr old girls. There is no way Rinne can win against Einhald and just wait when the protagonist will put some sense into her later.
Vivio is not much talent, it was just lucky so she won against Rinne, Rinne talent is better that's why she already much stronger now.

Well, I wouldn't say that Rinne only has talent.. We saw her sweating trying her best at training just before in this episode.. She is hard working..
So Rinne was bullied in the past, it seems?.. Well, Fuuka also didn't have it easy in the past.. But also, how it's related to her current view on the battles?.. Something something, I must be strong, because when you're weak - you'll get hurt?.. I'm not too sure.. Either way, seems like many things were told.. And I'm not too sure about some of them..
