 It was announced that horror manga Higanjima will receive a short anime adaptation that will be available online. Titled Hinganjima X, the series will be streamed on YouTube starting October 15, 2016, and will run for a total of 12 episodes. Show Hayami (Trigun) will be voicing the all the characters that appear in the first three episodes. Staff Director: Ryousuke Aoike (Catman Series III) Executive Producer, Series Composition: Mitsuhiro Taniguchi (CG Director of Idol Memories) Character Design: Misaki Oohira Production: Tetra Studio: Tetra, Fever Creations Higanjima is drawn by Koji Matsumoto and began serialization in 2003 in Weekly Young Magazine, and ended in 2010 with 33 compiled volumes. A sequel manga titled Higanjima: Saigo no 47 Nichikan began publishing in August 2010, and ended in July 2014 with 16 compiled volumes. The manga series also received a live-action movie that was based on the sequel manga which premiered in 2013. A live-action TV series is also currently airing. Synopsis It's all about vampire hunting versus man hunting in this series. Akira's brother, Atsushi, was spotted after being missing for two years. A mysterious woman appears and tells Akira that she can bring him to Higanjima, a mysterious island where she saw Atsushi. | They should seriously considering making a full TV anime adaptation of this. I've been reading the manga and up and it's one of the few vampire theme series I've enjoyed. Watched the live action movie before but that was crap. |

I'm like 50+ volumes in (latest chapter of 48 days later, the sequel sequel of Higanjima), it's a fucking battle shounen. By far the most retarded manga I've ever read (story goes from MC running away from vampires to fighting 30+ stories tall monsters and chopping off their head with one sword swipe). |
