| Interesting that they didn't make the fight very long when it's almost Gundam tradition that in the 2nd season, main characters usually get to show off a bit in battle scenes. Decent setup episode. I guess the important takeaways for me are: 1. Hash setting himself up for looking like an idiot later on. Probable cause of death: saving Mika toward end of season when he grows up. 2. Gaelio coming back hard as masked man in all probability. Honestly I wish it's not him because Gaelio's death was one of the most compelling events last season, and him coming back would undo that. 3. Barriston's tone heavily foreshadows that Tewaz will probably at some point betray Tekkadan. Whether Tabinz follows suit is the more interesting question. 4. As if this was't clear already, three-some ending confirmed if Mika, Atra, and Kudelia all live. |

| Love the OP/ED. Orga, Mikazuki, Atra, and Kudelia in their childhood days are so cute. I'm loving Atra more and more. I think she is more interesting than Kudelia and I hope she doesn't die. I don't see Mikazuki ending up with someone but if he is, I hope it will be Atra. Kudelia looks older than him even more in this season. Regarding the masked guy, I kind of doubt it is Gaelio. It could be Ein. |

| I wonder why the writer(s) emphasis so much on the love triangle ? Seriously it's clearly too forced... Especially with Atra, they made her too clingy, even in S1 there was not much scene during the second part where Kudelia and Mikazuki were alone (or Mika was not with Atra). And here first time they get alone thx to the old man, but not for long thx to Atra... |

| First episode was a little hard to gauge Hush's character. I believe the back story did well to flesh out his character a bit. He's not some arrogant teenager who thinks that he's better than Mika already, but an emo kid who had too much respect for his former leader that he wants to prove that Mika isn't as special as they say he is. That makes a world of difference here, since that makes it less likely for him to turn traitor against the Tekkadan unless for extreme personal circumstances (like he falls in love with a girl that likes Mika.. ala Ensign Rhidde). I now believe that he's more likely to come out of some trials and realize just how much shit that Mika had to go through (told to him by his superiors later on), and may yet come to respect Mika enough to follow his lead..... unless he falls in love with Atra or Kudelia that is. :P That said, knowing that Orga and Mcgillis have some sort of back door deal makes me believe that Tekkadan may yet be forced into a situation where they will actually need to use that card, namely having to go up against Teiwaz and the Turbines for political reasons or something like that. The episode itself was nice in showing where everyone was currently at. I was actually really happy to see Takaki and Fuuka able to live a somewhat normal life on the Earth side. Just shows that not all the boys are continuing with the hardcore fighting on Mars. As for unsuspecting characters that might surprise, the big silent Dean Uhay is actually my candidate for undercover spy. Somehow amongst the lot of the new kids, that one seems the most unsuspiciously suspicious. |

| At least now we know why Hash acted the way he did from the start, he was a little annoying though with the way he fought in the last battle (like he didn't care) but his sad past makes up for it. The guy in the mask is either Gaelio or someone else, I would like to think it's Gaelio because he must be burning with hatred towards McGillis after what he did to him and Carta. |

| A side effect of winning is that Tekkadan has shown child-soldier-using PMCs are successful businesses. A point they did not get across was that Tekkadan is a co-operative where child soldiers employ other child soldiers. You leave at your own will. Hash is becoming the rival on the same side as Mika, where have I seen that before... Mika going cold-blooded orphan on Hash for raising his hand towards Atra while everyone besides Nadi Yukinojo Kassapa are completely oblivious is a great scene. Every character getting a backstory 🙂 Dissing Atra's cooking because she used real meat reminded me of the first couple of episodes of Gargantia where the protagonist was startled when the natives offered him fish. I wonder if Rastall's relationship to Julietta is dark like Gauron and the Twins from FMP TSR or just a military guy taking in an eccentric girl as a daughter figure like Zinnerman and Marida. Great visuals and music in both opening and ending. |

What I "predict" - Hush starts using Mobile Suit manually, without the nanomachines system, along the way he sees how casually Mikazuki wrecks everyone, reflects on himself once again and gets full of all this Tekkadan child soldier crap and Mikazuki's rampages. So in the final battle, whatever is happening between that and this, Hush will send Mikazuki into full berserk, defeat him, making him ultimately lose his hand (Which will be replaced by a mechanical arm, as hinted in the last moments of opening), and destroying his image of an unbeatable child soldier, bringing down the whole insane crusade Tekkadan had started. |
