| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well that was kinda entertaining. Papika is the most amusing character in the show so far. We got some strange robots and sci-fi elements as well. Pretty fun start so far. Kokona and Papika has a lot of chemistry even in the first episode. And that ED theme song is kinda catchy. |

| Yeah so this is definitely not a show that one should watch with a rational mindset. It's better to not question the "How?" and "Why?" here but just let yourself be immersed in this world of magical wonders and surreality. Personally I got major fairy tale ( not the show ) vibes like I was constantly reminded by stories from the Brothers Grimm like the Red Riding Hood. That's probably due to the involvement of Studio Ghibli staff. The animation is consistently fluent and I love the contrasts between the dull and melancholic atmosphere at the beginning and the vibrant colors and forms shortly before Kokona and Papika enter this "world" as well as inside the world. If you couldn't tell already I love this, like A LOT. Give me more :3 |
| well the art in this episode looked pretty at least. not sold on the characters and story yet, i'll have to see a bit more to find out what's even happening here. |

| Even though a lot of weird shit happened, I wasn't really confused by it. Instead of constantly asking questions, I was easily brought into the Pure Illusion. It's a good start. |

| Kinda reminds me of Space Patrol Luluco in a way, just completely wacky, but I enjoyed that quite a bit. I'm liking the art style, sometimes gives me some Madoka vibes, probably going to be the really underrated anime of the season. |

| Nice Soundtrack, especially the OP. Somehow it remind me of Amanchu but with younger character and some sci-fi stuff add into it. But well, it's okay. |

| Well as expected the visuals and animation were top notch. The story, I'm guessing, won't remain quite as random as it felt this week. Cocona and Papika make for a very fun duo...plus Bu! XD |
| A satisfying first episode, It's worth the wait and the hype!. Animation, characters, music everything is very good so far. This'll probably be my underrated anime of the season. I think I'm gonna earn some good points on my FAL :3 |

| Surprisingly I liked this a lot. Make sure you watch after the credits. The animation was amazing, and the atmosphere felt really relaxing and comfortable. I don't know if anyone else noticed but sometimes when they were doing full body shots and the characters were walking, the frame rate looked a little low. Another scene is when cocona sonic booms across the the ice to save papika, and the falling snow looks really weird because of the frame rate. Nonetheless the animation was still really good. I also like how papika kept trying to get close to cocona, and cocona would push her off like "Bitch, I aint about no yuri undertones!" Also why are they fighting small frosty alaskan bull worms? Someone needs to call sandy. |

| Really quirky character Papika is. Really like the close up shot of their faces. No idea what was going on but it was pretty enjoyable. Dem be sum gud yuri vibes. Also cute ending. Rofl at the screaming animation. |
| Papika has to be one of the best characters of the season. Wacky as hell, i really liked it, no need to question logic atm since this is just setting up stuff obviously and will probably be explained. Really reminds me of Mob Psycho 100, the artstyle. So many sakuga scenes are possible with this art, it's interesting. |
| So much adventure and imagination. I didn't understand half of what happened, but I didn't care because it obviously didn't matter. It's a roller coaster that's not meant to be taken too seriously. Just get on and enjoy the ride. The premise is clear enough to understand without leaving the viewer too dumbfounded. The whimsical music, FLCL-style animation, and yuri trolling were fun, too. 5/5 |

| I actually enjoyed it way more than I thought. The characters seem colorful, fun and wacky. The story doesnt take itself seriously which I am completely ok with. Getting lots of vibes from FLCL, Gurren Lagann and Kill La Kill. I think this is going to be one of my favorite anime this fall and underrated. Definitely looking forward to more. |
| Beautiful animation, this is without a doubt one of the most interesting anime of this season for me. Just hope I don't get disappointed. Only time will tell |

| Loved this first episode. Great animation, a fantastically brilliant world, and a charming cast of characters. Has a shit ton of potential to be a visually unique story with a lot of extra oomph. Like Mob Psycho last season. Or it could go the route that Rolling Girls did, which wouldn't be awful (I liked that show overall despite all of its story problems), but a severe let down. |
| This is 100% hand-drawn isn't it? I couldn't spot a single polygon of CGI. It has the fantastical, creative and surreal setting that I really like. I lol'd when it turned out the robot was actually a human brain and awkward silence ensued. @FFandMMfan Lol why? |

| Earlier I was thinking that I was sick of cute transforming girl series, but this one was pretty enjoyable for some reason. The visuals are awesome and I just enjoyed it instead of thinking of what the story is or will be, or anything, really. :) 4/5 I'll keep watching. Oh, and no CGI is a huge bonus. Reminds me of a spectacularly hand-drawn Ghibli film. |

| I went into this expecting a normal mahou shoujo and suddenly I have a secret lovechild between Kyousogiga and the 90s FLCL Gainax before my eyes - a VERY pleasant surprise. This is def. one of the more interesting shows of the season. |
