| Any news for BD sales? If the BD sale fails then there is no hope for S3. Anyways the manga comes in color, so its worth to read it I guess.. |

| More good signs than bad that there'll be a 3rd season for Shokugeki no Soma. Manga sales are good. Food Wars is Top 10 selling manga of 2016. Just like some of the other top 10 sellers, they're getting repeat seasons. Additionally, it's known that selling the source material is priority and anime is meant as advertisement to promote sales of manga. Continuing support through OVAs. We still have OVA #3 before the Elite Ten are introduced. We're also still getting news about ongoings with the VAs (Erina's VA's understudy filling in while on maturity leave). The only thing that I don't understand (dislike) is how the international (mostly US, cause I live in California) release of the DVDs/Blu Rays are taking FOREVER! ARGH!!! Season One was almost 2 years ago and haven't been released by Sentai Filmworks. Food Wars licensed for Dubs. Some are saying that they're waiting to broadcast the show on Toonami to increase physical sales when out. More sales means more support means more motivation for Japaneses studios to make another season, but waiting too long can also hurt the series' momentum/popularity. Keeping fingers crossed for another season. |
