Do you Iron your Clothes?

I've seen people iron their clothes after getting them out of the dryer and I wondered if it was really necessary for absolutely every piece of clothing. I mean, I could understand a tux, a suit, a blouse, and just general nice looking clothing. T-Shirts and comfortable pants on the other hand I just don't really understand the use of ironing. Thoughts?

Sometimes, jeans for example never look really in shape if you don't iron them. Though this weekend I was too lazy to even do that >.<

I never iron my clothes just because I'm too lazy and while some pieces of clothing do wrinkle, most are quite okay.

My jeans look wrinkly as hell on the washing line when they're drying, but once I put them on, they look fine ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That's true, which is why I'm wearing the jeans I washed yesterday right now. Else I have a wrinkly jeans hanging in my closet ^^

I've never ironed my clothes before. I remember that my mum used to do it occasionally for my more formal clothes and such, but that's a long time ago.

I don't iron my casual clothes that much, but I have many suits and dress shirts and it's absolutely necessary to iron those on a regular basis.
I find ironing relaxing for some reason, even when I'm ironing creases into my dress pants which can easily be messed up(thankfully that hasn't happened to me yet).

Sometimes. It can go a long way especially if a shirts been on a hanger or it's a special occasion, but if it's just a t-shirt, folding it in a timely fashion will usually be effective.

Haven't touched an iron in over a decade and it's probably gonna stay that way for the rest of my life. If I have clothing nice enough that it'd look weird with wrinkles, it also tends to be the "dry-clean only" kind and dry-cleaned clothing never comes back needing extra flattening.

I know a guy who irons all his jeans and I'm just like... why would you even bother lmfao

if you use dryer sheets and wash your clothes with the appropriate detergent your clothes won't get wrinkly -- meaning you save time by not having to iron. you have to fold your clothes asap from the dryer also.

Yeah I iron a t shirt when I have to go to class or just to go out, I iron my church clothes when I go to church etc. I don't generally iron pants especially jeans but I always iron t shirts and shirts. I only don't iron home clothes (clothes I wear at home).

What's the point? do you notice someone else's wrinkles on their clothing when you talk to them? If not, then why do you think they'll notice yours? Pointless thread.

Job interview or other events that would require nice looking clothes then yes. An everyday thing, nah not really. I only iron my clothes if it is necessary for what I am going to do that day.

I only iron clothes if I have to for a job. Other than that, I just fold them right after they're done from the dryer and it's fine.

Or I just wear them wrinkled because I throw my clothes on the floor and never fold them. Who even cares lol.

I will clean the toilet, scrub the shower, anything but iron. I will never iron, ever.

But I do use the Iron Fairy. It goes like this:

Pre-steps: Make sure you purchase wooden clothes hangars, wire ones will not do.
Pre-Step: Use Poly-cotton or polyester, not 100% cotton.
Step 1) Wash clothing as usual.
Step 2) place clothes in the dryer.
Step 3) Have your hangars at the ready.
Step 4) Drink alcohol.
Step 5) Whilst the dryer is on it's airing cycle ( 15 minutes at the end) whilst it is still turning, quickly open the door, grab out 1 item, close the door so it starts spinning again asap.
Step 5) Hang the garment immediately on the hangar carefully and well.
Step 6) Repeat untill all clothes are hung.
Final Step) Drink more alcohol.

Ironing is complete, and you could not tell your items were not ironed.
idk about you but the closer a girl gets to looking like ronald mcdonald, the more aroused i become. CAV

In my 19 years of existence I've only ironed a single shirt a few times in the last year and haven't ironed any clothing before that. All of the times it was for job interviews.

Where do you even live? What about for prom, job interviews, wedding/funerals, ect.? Obviously most people aren't expected to iron their clothes regularly, but it doesn't mean no male irons their clothes.

I can't iron for shit, but I still live with my parents and here it is required to keep your clothes wrinkleless so they get ironed frequently. Hell, even my clothes for when I have a really dirty job get ironed.

Ironed clothes is the least of my worries lol. Besides, I don't really have the time to do so and I don't believe in the time and effort put into being able to wear a straight shirt (though this comes with some exceptions).

Well, in the rare cases that my Grandfather needs his clothes ironed, he gets my Grandmother to do it.

Also, I've never been to a prom, job interview, wedding or funeral in my life. Every shirt in my closet is a T-shirt. I don't believe in "Formal Clothing."
