| Lately I've been contemplating the idea of one falling in love with a dead person, not that I myself have fallen in love with such, I've just been thinking about it. The idea came from the observation of some people's undying love to their Waifus/Husbandos, and there was that one guy who married that anime character, so surely he must of felt something. With a historical figure, you could be exposed to them on multiple levels, different interpretations of their actions, their lives, their aspirations, dreams; ect. You could gather an incredibly deep understanding of the person, but equally you could get a warped impression, it's a bit interesting. I just think the idea is terribly melancholic and bittersweet, and I dunno, I guess I enjoy thinking about things that elicit those feelings. You have feelings for someone who can never reciprocate those feelings back, but it's worse because they're dead. Anyway, what do you think? Can you fall in love with a dead person? Or to make it a little more on topic, can you really fall in love with your Waifu, do you know anyone who has? Oh, and also, don't make this about necrophilia, fambo. :3 |

| People fall in love with animals and fictional characters, so when you think about it dead people aren't that far off. I imagine it would be quite hard to actually fall in love with someone if all you have about them are pictures/paintings, possibly videos and descriptions or recordings. Or maybe a book that they've written. Takes a special kind of person to fall in love if thats all you have. |

| You can't really fall in love with a person you literally never met (and never will) You can obviously feel attracted to your idealization of a person. Which is kinda what happens with "love at first sight", to a certain degree it is similar. But a crush on someone cute like Young Stalin isn't the same as love imo. |
