| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Kojirou is awesome, felt like his character has changed a lot from when he first debuted. Souma managed to make another extravagant dish as expected. The foodgasm is pretty damn ecstatic if you ask me lol. It's no surprise that Souma got creative with the way he makes his dish to mix various ingredients for the best results. Honestly, I wish the season was 2-cour like the first but whatever. 7/10. |

| Fairly enjoyable finale and second season. Pacing was a bit weaker than the first season, and it really should have been 24 - 26 episodes. That aside it was a pretty solidly strong continuation of the story, very nearly reaching the level of season one. That pacing problem and a winner of the election I didn't want will make me knock it down a point though, 8/10. And now the wait for season 3... |
| Great finale, I loved the Stagiaire arc. That Souma evolution sequence was so awesome. :O It was interesting to see Souma realize where is Dad's techniques came from. Souma's dish was pretty cool, I'd like to try it some day. Was nice of Shinomiya to help Souma out and improve the dish. It even made the menu :D Those reactions when Souma called Shinomiya 'Master'. XD Overall, Great season. Maybe a little fast paced when compared to the last but I still got the classic Shokugeki feel out of it and was really enjoyable. The tournament was exciting and watching Souma make his dishes always puts a smile on my face. It was nice to see his character explored about how he always moves forward and works harder than anyone no matter the circumstance, Quite the inspiring guy. XD It's gonna be great watching him grow into a great chef and find his own style of cooking now, Stagiaire arc was excellent build up for the start of his journey. 9/10 , Need Season 3. Probably will pick up the manga as well now. |

| pacing was fast; almost rushed, most of the stuff that happened didn't have the impact they should, and we saw little in terms of development. definitely inferior to s1, not bad but -meh- 5/10 |
| Now Souma totally realize how "scary" his dad have the technique and knowledge. And thus, the "new" Yukihira is born. Everyone's totally doing their best too. |

| Compared to the first season, it felt lackluster and rushed. It would have been better if it had more episodes to flesh out the tournament and stagiaire arc. 5/10 |

| May I ask which chapter should i start to read for the manga after i finish the 2 seasons ??? And is this anime really adapt almost everything from the manga or shuld i start from chapter 1 ? Thx in advance |

| Probably weakest episode of the stagiaire arc but overall they did that arc justice, it's even better the manga counterpart tbh, they even added little fillers for other characters like Hayama and Alice. They did however rush the tournament badly, which is like the biggest and maybe the best arc of the series, they adapted Megumi vs Ryou relatively well but the rest of the tournament was rush rush and more rushing. 6/10. This scene kinda reminds me of Yamamoto from Bleach dunno why  ZzLow96 said: May I ask which chapter should i start to read for the manga after i finish the 2 seasons ??? | Great series, though this may not have been the best arc to end it on. I'll definitely watch season 3 if and when it comes out, though the goodbye ending here seems like the creators don't expect a third season anytime soon. |
| Loved this episode. When Souma calls Shino master it was hilarious to see how the others reacted LOL. I actually liked how fast paced this season was tbh. Amazing season. 9/10 for me. Sad it's gonna take a while for Season 3 since they need more material. Hopefully we get like 25 episodes next time. I'm gonna miss this show. One of my favorites :'( |

They left some stuff out. I mean you don't miss out on any crucial stuff but it's still worth reading. |

| So they ended it before they introduced the Elite 10. Would have been better if the pacing wasn't rushed - maybe have what was currently shown encompassed in 20-21 episodes & then one more for the introduction of the Elite 10 |

| It didn't come as a surprise that Souma's dish would be the one chosen by Shinomiya (although I did think for a second that he actually was going to reject it). And of course, Souma and all of his friends passed the Stagiaire. Even if this season was kind of rushed (even I could tell without having manga knowledge) I still really enjoyed it. Now it's time to eagerly wait for season 3. 7/10. justuday said: At the end of 13 episode they gave 'glad you liked it' is season 2 end of shokugeki no soma I mean normally they would give that when its the end of that anime . It's pretty common to do that. Season one had that at the end and we ended up getting this second season, so I'm not sure why one would think this season will be the end. |

| Should've made it a 2-cour. Felt rushed, but eh... It was entertaining, though I hate how overly-shounen it felt, just like the first season. Above average nonetheless. Shinomiya and his little student Yukihira were cute. 6.5/10 |

| 7/10 Easily noticeable lazy animation[Tough in ep 12 &13 there were lot of improvements] and this season always felt like something is missing.Evey episode of this season was like 'that's it???but i expected more.' |

| I don't think they rushed the stagiaire, the show relies on vs. battles so Souma learning new techniques won't make for very good entertainment. I did feel the ending was a bit abrupt however, feel like they skipped over something. Overall The Tournament was very entertaining, not so much for the stagiaire. |

| That ending tho when Shokugeki no Soma was fighting that second year, I felt one of those feels of watching a Pokemon movie and a battle is the first thing that comes up. |

| 8/10. Weaker than the first season. Anyone who hyped up the autumn elections, i'm questioning you guys. I probably wouldn't have liked it that much more either if it wasn't rushed. Stagiaire was the real winner. |

| 13 episodes was not enough imo. The whole season felt rushed, but still, it was enjoyable. It's an 8/10 lowkey, but I'm gonna give it a 9, bec it's still one of the best anime of this season. Anyone know when the 3rd season is coming? |

| Good episode to finish the second season. It was a nice ending to the overall season and now we have a Souma who is decided to forge his true culinary identity and improve even more. I also liked to see how Shinomiya has improved since his more jerkish side of the first season and has turned basically into a Tsundere. One of my fav characters of the series without any doubt. Overall, the first season was better than this one imo. Despite all the build up the tournament received the last season, I felt it rushed and except some matches (Megumi vs Kurokiba, Takumi vs Mimasaka and the final duel between Souma, Hayama and Kurokiba), I felt that the most of them weren't really that interesting. Also, I thought the foodgasm of this season were not as intense and funny as the previous ones (with the exception of that old man who ends rapping for Mimasaka and based Dojima), plus the ecchi was least intense. On the other hand, the few interesting duels were very funny and really intense, and I liked the development Souma had through all the season and how his defeat against Hayama made him try to improve himself as a chef and pursuing the dream of creating one day a dish he can call "his dish" and develop his own style and not follow the footsteps of his father. I also liked the stagiare episodes because they helped Souma in that task and they were a nice change over the tournament. It wasn't as the same level as the first season, but I still enjoyed it. 7.5/10 then. |

| Such an incredible animation! I'm glad that everyone back home safety, and looks like Yukihira-kun is going to be busy for the next times with a few matches. I really love it his creation <3 That dish looks very tasty, and I'd like to have a taste. Not just of this but of all the dishes that everyone have been creating since the beginning of Entrance Ceremony of this prodigies chefs!! ^.^ 10/10 Glad I Like It, so much! <3 |

| Well, Stagiere arc was great but those Autumn Elections before turned stale pretty quickly save for one or two episodes. I also missed some casual episodes on their Polar Dormitory with everyone being around. 6/10 It actually wasn't really too bad but it was also nothing like the first season at all. Let's hope for the better in the 3rd season (if there is any). |
