The metaphorical scenes of the characters reacting so sexually towards food in different settings with different emotional states really captures how the food operates here. And it doesn't just happen to the women it also effects the men just as much. I've heard High School of the Dead though it has some of those outrageous scenes does actually use the sexual themes in the plot to advance the characters relationships but I haven't watched it yet. I honestly don't watch a lot of ecchi, not because I'm not a fanservice kind of gal but it's usually a genre that gets a little too tropey for me personally. Yeah somebody else pointed out KLK to me as an example, and that's definitely true. It's kind of a specific example though, since it uses and acknowledges the tropes it uses in a very intentional way. I doubt there's really any other example that could compare. I have seen high school of the dead. Honestly it's been a long time, I've forgotten a lot about that show. From what I remember though there wasn't a whole lot of a plot or character development to begin with. I could be wrong tho but I'm pretty sure that show was just fan service and violence for the sake of fan service and violence. Not that there's anything wrong with that. |
| I watch ecchi anime for comedic purposes mostly, if I'd fap I'd go watch porn or something. I feel like ecchi makes things more funny or just fun to watch as it's just eye candy. |
