Such a beautiful end to a beautiful anime that was adapted to near perfection!
The last scene between Teko and PIkari was so beautiful and ahhh i love them!
Would like a second season obviously, but if not, this was a good place to end it!
Can't wait to see the OVA next year!
10/10 off to add this to my favorites.

Dear Amanchu, welcome to my top 10.

This was an amazing ride, peaceful, relaxing. can't wait to rewatch the show and enjoy it again.
I hope there comes a time where we see a second season, but i think that might be too far ahead.

Anyway, this was my fav Anime of the season.

It was a good SoL, I was a bit let down by the fact that we didn't get much diving episodes, but it was still an enjoyable watch.

A solid 7/10 and I don't mind watching it in the future may a second season show itself.

I actually felt proud of Teko at the end. These Chinese cartoons are so manipulative.

My score is 8/10. I would watch another season and I'll certainly buy this.

That was a really worthy finale to such a great show. I love the atmosphere and music this series has. the characters are adorable and the development Teko went through was thoroughly enjoyable to watch unfold. This show is really underrated, AOTS by a long shot and I'd give it a 9/10. (Mob Psycho 100 is good too tho)

Nice and fitting 'dive' to end this series. A good series with great atmosphere but a bit bland scenes as well. Overall go PikarixTeko!!!

As expected, the diving scene was beautiful. Definitely going to miss this. Very relaxing and soothing Anime through and through. Not quite on Aria's level but certainly one of my favorites. It honestly took me a couple of episodes to get used to the slightly saccharine attitudes of some of the characters but once I got over that it turned into a very pleasant ride.

The ending left me a really nice fulfillment feeling, almost to think that maybe this doesn't even need a second season, but anyway, SECOND SEASON PLEASE! :3

Why do people keep saying the scenery was nice?
There was about 30 seconds of this level scenery

Not exactly mind blowing stuff.

And pretty much every single other shot from that point onwards was set to a plain dark blue background like this.

That's not good, it's cheap and bad and you should be offended that they put in such little effort.

lol probably it's illusion created by the tension itself, when u watch amanchu ur mind playing with u then everything is became beautiful even the scene quality is plain. just like aria :P

What a great ending! This was such a chill and relaxing summer fun anime!

Overall 8/10!
So glad that I'm not a huge manga reader, because the manga readers WHINE WAY TOO MUCH and have to RUIN every adapted anime for the ANIME ONLY WATCHERS!

A solid ending to a really nice series. Glad I picked it up!

Futaba's first ocean dive goes quite well. She initially got scared because she saw a never ending sea beneath her. She couldn't see where that abyss ended and it scared her. But when she looked at it as a new world with many mysteries, it didn't feel so scary. And then things go pretty smoothly and she passes. The music during the underwater time was pretty good and made things feel better.

The show was about Futaba getting over her fear of trying new things as she goes for something she didn't think she would do before coming to this school. She goes for something new and despite having second thoughts at first, she ends up doing it and experiences something new which she enjoys. And she has Pikari to thank for that because simply looking at Pikari going headfirst into almost everything without being afraid was enough to make her want to give things another try. The anime showed this quite nicely. It felt like it had a less peaceful environment as compared to Aria or last season's Flying Witch, but it was still a great watch nevertheless. The cats didn't come off as amusing or cute though, but that's a minor issue. Overall a very good show.

The last and best episode for me! See the excitement of Teko and Pikari diving into the ocean for the first time was great.

The OP is by far the best of the season.

Overall 7/10! :)~

This was beauty in anime form. I don't see why people give it any score less than 8 but oh well. I mean, it's so perfect? And positive. And motivational. And inspirational. And the staff was really dedicated to it. And the characters were all great esp. Teko's development was amazing. Pikari was really a "light" as her names suggest she is. I adore their bond, and I adore the small-but-great cast.

I don't know.
This episode was one of the best from this series.

I can't give it a score less than 10/10, I learnt from it.
Would love, love, love to have a S2. More Aria-esque anime are always appreciated.

Some nice diving this episode. Teko's talk with Pikari at the end was probably one of my favorite scenes in this series. A very nice way to end this series.

Now, this series didn't necessarily appeal to me, but I watched and enjoyed it somewhat because of some people hyping it. It was a relaxing series.

And so the end is finally upon us
The day of the open sea test is finally here

Diving in Japan must be a really popular sport

The cats rolling on the mats though was adorable

The subject of diving is not something that you find often in anime's but here it was
explained pretty well and everything is authentic right down to the buddy checks.

Who knew that the world beneath the sea was so beautiful though

The insert song that they played as Teko was demonstrating her knowledge was pretty good and im glad to see that Teko managed to do all that without any problems.

Im glad that in the end Teko managed to pass the test successfully

Beautiful ending and a great end to the series
Teko and Pikari were excellent characters and i loved the story as well

It was clear that the end of the anime series, coincided with the first dive of Teko in the sea, but I wanted some other episode more. It's pretty narration, background music very nice coupled to the moment when the protagonists are immersed. Drawings and animations, good, I hope there is a sequel, why is immediately said, I really loved this anime series. Very nice the opening and ending.

My vote is 8/10.

FUN for ALL. ALL for FUN!

Music and animation in the last episode was outFREAKINGstanding. It took 12 episodes to give me some kind of Yuri interaction though, but we got it haha.

Solid anime 7/10

Final episode is sooo amazing!

I guess it goes without saying since they have the same author but this is easily the most Aria-ish anime ever since Aria. Not just from story point of view but also the atmosphere itself is very close to Aria. I'm amazed that the studio was able to capture the charm that the original Aria had.

I was planning to give this a 7 but the final episode easily bumped up the score.

Hmm... dark deep sea, hope the Kraken will not show up...

Pikari: "If you love what I love, that means you've come to love yourself right?"
Pikari: "I mean, I love you lots..."
Me: "Now, Kiss!"

as a slow paced anime, I think this is a good slow paced anime, 7/10

There’s no denying that the sea is a majestic place, filled with fascinating marine life, hidden caves and endless possibilities. But, you know the real ocean was deep as fuck tbh. So deep, I actually not sure how deep it is, which is terrifying to think about.

Well, the final episode was truly beautiful even though not on Aria's level. I just the love author remind us to appreciate even the smallest things in life. So good to watch after a day of blah work.

I apsolutely loved the anime but 1 thing stuck in my hand in this last episode.
I never dived, or know anything relevant about divers, but i do know that the water pressure doesnt allow someone to have swift movements in such deep water.
So the thing that stuck in my mind is, how did the teacher manage to write instructions so fast, and with what did she write (some kind anti water tint?), why was it so bright to actually see it at the bottom of the sea, and if she wasnt writing but using a tablet of some kind i really want to know what model can endure the water pressure without breaking so deep in the water.

But i did love the anime, totally enjoyed it, to fully enjoy it could someone explain those small things to me from a techical perspective since i assume that the mangaka/anime studio put alot of effort into the actual techniques for soon to be divers.

Wow, that finale couldn't get any better. It's a good one.
This anime was surely one of the shows I liked this summer season.
So I'm gonna rate this anime an (8 or 9?) out of 10 score over all.

Nice finale...took their sweet time to get there but I'm happy regardless.

Didn't think this show was that amazing but it was still a decent watch (some episodes were pretty down right boring though). Overall my impressions of the series hasn't changed that much from once I first started watching it.

Never would have thought an anime about diving would take twelve episodes to finally get to the diving, and it be worth the wait. That was freaking great. The visuals, the character's reactions, the soundtrack, all of it was freaking great.

Whoop, guess this is the last time I'll be hearing whoop. Be perfectly honest, I thought there would be more yuri in this anime, and there was some in the end, but it turned out to be a pretty straight, calm, and beautiful anime. 8/10

This anime was such an amazing anime, such relaxing atmosphere and ow so fun!

Just the anime that I needed, and the whole Aria atmosphere sure was captured as well in this anime!

All in all a wonderful anime I must say.

Good ending episode... but not wholly. The thing is everything up to their going down was great, even the atmosphere was brilliant but insert those atmosphere super-deformed breakers was not a good choice and I would certainly do without cheesy sentences in the second part of the episode.

Really, overuse of those horrible SD faces had plagued this series and and I couldn't enjoy it as much as I could because of it. What works in manga certainly doesn't work in anime (not that manga was anything great too).

And I willl just leave this here:

恥ずかしいセリフ禁止!, Hazukashii serifu kinshi! Tacky comments are prohibited

...I guess this also sum ups this anime prettywell..

While Aria maintained the right balance of those beautiful, nostalgic moments that were coupled with some really good down-to-earch jokes and everything felt just natural there, it I didn't felt the same in Amanchu...

Everything felt a lot more cheesier here, mainly when Teko was saying those flowery words in her head.. but unlike Aria it seemed really empty in the end as it lacked a real message and were just naive saying of shy girl instead. There were some good episodes (but only one the best - ep9 was real memorable gem amongst other episodes) and that's a shame. The rest of the series was mostly ok but not so special.

6/10 I guess it's on par with Flying Witch, well, maybe a bit better but not by much.

Edit: To rate OP, I give it 10/10, it's really great song! At least something to remember I guess.

Agreed, the frog face of Hikari is really distracting for me. When the others have normal face, only her face keeps that face. Aria was great in this term, the comical faces went in and out at the right time. I know that the author intended to show people that the character is playful but it's too much for me.

Aria has explorations and magical(mysterious) moments while Amanchu feels just plain slice of life with yuri flavour to me. Flying Witch is on par with Aria on that aspect. Flying Witch is much better than Amanchu for me, also at first Amanchu's story pace felt really slow to me.. It became faster later though

What a good way to end the show. Teko finally gets a scuba diving license.

While it was nice and relaxing. There are things that put me off. Teko's backstory felt dragging and a bit too dramatic. While she's pretty, her embarrassing and cheesy lines are a turn off. The siblings aren't interesting to be honest. Pikari and Sensei are alright. The cat designs are weird. Aria's cats look better.

Other than that the OST, the songs are really good. Maaya Sakamoto's songs are very calming. Her songs fit really well with relaxing animes like Aria the animation. Scenery and the view of the sea is relaxing.

I still think SatouJun's Aria series is way better and more relaxing. Amanchu's slice-of-life is rather plain, boring at times, and rather empty. But its not a bad series.

6/10 for the series.

Goodness, Teko's open water exam was just so precious! Not to mention that the OST was heavenly this episode. The uncertainty Teko was feeling about not being able to see the ocean floor runs parallel with the fears she's had of venturing into the unknown in her own life. With a friendly push, she was able to step out of that comfort zone and see a brand new world.

Amanchu has really grown on me since the first episode. At first it felt somewhat awkward, but over time Pikari's eccentricity grew on me. They could have toned down on the crazy faces a bit, but it was indeed another reminder of the endearing atmosphere that also came with Aria. Speaking of, the same author and Satou Junichi made a miracle happen once again. In contrast to Aria, however, this felt more focused on a specific goal.

I'd have to say my favorite part about Amanchu is Teko. Without a doubt. She reminded me a great deal of myself. The uncertainty I felt in high school, the loss at which direction I want to go, and the anxiety & excitement of stepping out of my comfort zone. Even the embarrassing thoughts she'd unintentionally say aloud (thankfully I never did). It just felt like I was watching myself from a new perspective in a completely different reality.

8/10, may the healing continue.
