Light novels aren't like with anime where most of the sales come from preorders, so preorder rankings aren't particularly useful - plus of course hardly anywhere does them, as most sites will put any preorder sales in when they are shipped, not when they are ordered. The first useful ranking is usually the POS daily covering Friday, which are typically out between 2 and 5 days of release. Honto and Tsutaya put out daily rankings as well. ...speaking of which, if anyone's wondering about the POS weekly rankings, they seem to have screwed up by simply copying the daily rankings from last Monday. There's not much point in posting them until/unless this is fixed. |

SAO 17 only passed the 300k mark when it reranked after volume 18 came out. |

But I think it won't happen T_T + @Stark700 Shinkai Makoto has yet to make a sequel other than some extra chapters/letters in some of the novels based on his earlier movies. Will Kimi no Na Wa's success drive him or one of his backers to think about making a Kimi no Na Wa sequel? I'd still be surprised if he did. Instead I imagine he would rather do another new project but only Shinkai and his backers know the answer. I haven't read Another Side: Earthbound yet so I don't know if it would be suitable but I suppose that's a possibility. I had hoped it would arrive today but the holiday yesterday messed it up. I will get my copy on Monday. |
