| I've been thinking the same thing... I find very interesting that Magi is trying to be more realistic in themes about war-economy-peace-diplomacy and how they evolve, the new world of Sinbad is very interesting... but that kind of things kills the shounen vibe that we are accostumed to, where you can achieve anything by fighting and believing in your friends (more unrealistic, still more enjoyable)... |

| The new arc is not that typical for Shounen, with all that business/political stuff but I still like it so far. Magi usually starts off slow but then the serious stuff starts and shit is going down and I guess it will be like this again. ofc now they're allied with almost anyone now and even Hakuryuu finally chilled down so I agree there seems to be a lack of conflict. Plus Arba/Al Thamen lost their powers. But I still think there will be some unexpected twists and it will end up exciting like Alma Torran/Magnostadt etc, or at least I hope so. |

| I really got bored reading the flashback part when Kou and Sinbad's party went to a summit to discuss things. Well right now, I guess Shinobu is starting to make a solid start of the last arc with facts and stuffs that's why its starting to get boring. But her action scenes are always cool af |

| i picked it up again after finding out it's about to end and holy shit the amount of retarded psychological dialogues just kills this for me, it definitely outbalances the good scenes and i feel like they're out of place in a manga that is supposed to be SHOUNEN. While i can appreciate dialogue heavy chapters if they can lead to a solid conclusion, it just seems like in Magi they keep going with this clash of ideologies since forever.. |

| Yes it definitely got worse and there are a few reasons why: 1. Sinbad transforming the whole world into a sci-fi consumerist society in just 3 years is completely unrealistic and ruined the whole setting. Magi should be a fantasy story, after all. 2. Now that everyone can teleport everywhere, there is no need to travel so the entire adventure aspect is ruined. 3. Sinbad in general. Oh boy am i glad the anime stopped before getting here. |
