In Onikakushi, how much of Keichii's interactions with Rena were real, and how much of it was the paranoia?

| I think that quite a lot that happened did actually happen just not quite in the context that Keiichi (and we) sees it. For example when she brings the good she genuinly wants to make sure he's eating right so that he stays healthy and alive (because clearly rena and mion know he's becoming paranoid and the such) but because of the onigiri that he got given earlier he sees this as a threat, thinking that surely this food must be poisoned or tampered with in some way. In regards to certain scenes such as the one with the riceballs, the pin wasn't actually in them at all, keiichis mind simply imagined it being there because something like that happened in a manga he recdnly read. So I'm short it is both yes and no, there are certain items or contexts that his paranoia and hallucination sees that aren't really there but the scenes themselves did happen. (Or at least in my opinion) |
