Here in Brazil, most of the anime used to air on TV, but currently, there are very few channels who airs anime:
Cartoon Network (Pokémon and Digimon)
Tooncast (Dragon Ball and Pokémon)
Disney XD (Yo-Kai Watch)
PlayTV (Bleach, Naruto Shippuden and Yu-Gi-Oh!)

Currently, the anime distributos (???) prefer to use streaming platforms (the most used are Netflix and Crunchyroll) and DVDs, but most of hose DVDs are kinda poor the anime has 220 episodes, and they distribute those episodes on single, 2/3/4-episode DVD).

But we have the greates place ever (for a anime fan): Bairro da Liberdade (ENG: "Neighborhood of Freedom" or "Freedom District")! You can find everything about anime here, they even have CDs and albums, EVEN PORN MOVIES (Hentai included)! But there's a "problem": those are bootleg products (yes, they are a LOT BETTER than the licensed, non-bootlegs counterparts, but still).
I saw many Brazilians getting triggered when someone buys things at Bairro da Liberdade, but EVERY SINGLE BRAZILIAN "OTAKU" watches anime via piracy. Piracy found its home in Brazil, we all use and abuse of her (I still buy some licensed DVDs and have Netflix thought).

Now, how anime distribution works in YOUR country?

Pokemon with finnish dub 10/10

But other than that there's nothing on TV. And I don't think you can get DVD's/Blu-ray's anywhere either.

Manga on the other hand seems to be translated quite a lot. There's a bunch of manga in my local library, in both english and finnish. And it gets sold in a bunch of stores.

In Serbia, TV Ultra aired few anime xd Some of them were dubbed on Serbian, but other such as FMA, Bleach etc were aired in original language.
Also one local tv station aired quite a few classic anime such as Slayers, Trigun etc
and we can buy manga( but only 4 or 5 series ) so yay, it is better than nothing xD

For Tv cartoons are getting less and less interesting or action-based.Nearly all of cartoons nowdays are "instructional" cartoons.Good right? But the problem is they are for 5-9 years old kids.

So I don't think it's about distribution.

Don't think the UK is best place for anime on tv but pokemon and yugioh are still on tv as they where when I was a kid. There is a small blu ray and DVD market (where about 1000 sales is considered a big success) and most of our releases share discs with the American or Australian's counterpart licensing companies to cut down on cost. Prices have tended to be on the rise although that's mostly for anime limited's more premium collector's editions.

Anime is good, fucking deal with it.

In Norway there is none.

Zero.

There's one webstore that sells disjointed Manga releases like, I could find volume 2, 3 and 4 of Nichijou, when I asked them about #1 they essentially went
¯_(ツ)_/¯

CDON has the same symptoms with anime, but I don't want anime blu-rays or DVDs anyway as I, nor anyone I know, still own a stone-age relic known as an optical drive.

Oh, and Crunchyroll has continuously been urinating on Scandinavia ever since day one.

As for actual TV, there still may be Pokémon but that's it. Occasionally some 60 year old CEO will decide to have a nostalgia fit and put Moomin back on for a couple of weeks.

Huge amount (5 or 6 publishers) of poorly / highly liberal edited manga translations with erased sounds (replaced by WordArt-looking Polish equivalents), without suffixes, very often with changed names and censorship (even on panties. So I prefer to buy English releases (Seven Seas the most, and YenPress in many cases too) or original Japanese versions. Polish official manga releases are simply not worth my money. Tbh I don't want it even for free.
Anime almost doesn't exist nowadays.

Here in Romania there isn't such thing. We can find manga in english in some libraries, but is quite expensive for someone with the medium wage... like 3-4 time the price of the normal books which are expensive anyways. Is honestly cheaper to buy them from outside.

When it comes to anime, we used to have Animax which was pretty cool, but after the crissis started they stopped coming with new anime and lost many licenses, which resulted in having pretty much mostly Kirari and Naruto for like two years, and then shut down the channel. Other than that I saw they have Inazuma Eleven and Yokai Watch on CN, but meh...

We have it good here. The US has at least 11 active anime distribution companies that I can recall:

Animego
Aniplex USA
Discotek (Eastern Star)
Funimation Entertainment
Manga Entertainment
Media Blasters
NIS America
Nozomi Entertainment (Rightstuf)
Ponycan USA
Sentai Filmworks
Viz Media

...as well as several now defunct and dead companies such as Central Park Media, Bandai Entertainment USA, and Pioneer/Geneon Entertainment, which have released over 1,251 various series, movies, OVAs, or hentai titles in the United States/Canada that I have seen all or part of, and probably lots more that I haven't.

In France, TV used to broadcast A LOT of anime during the 70s/80s/early 90s (as my dad told me), but it kind of stopped over the years (many says it's because of too many controversies during the 90s, some government people were saying that anime were dumb and too violent...), there is still some anime on cable (on channels specialized in anime or geek/nerd culture) or on children shows/channels (like Pokemon)

BUT we have some anime distribution companies that stream anime such as Wakanim or ADN, Netflix also have some anime. Plus there is anime dvds sold here (since despite some controversies, France is really into anime) in big stores but they are very expensive :/

(also I live in Paris, and some little neighborhood have a lot of anime merch stores where you can find dvds)

As a tourist a couple years ago I've actually visited a couple of these in Paris while there seeing the sites. The city where I'm from doesn't have the equivalent of any of those local shops devoted solely to anime and manga, and I have to do most of my purchases for it online, so it was a good experience. Brought back some good souvenirs. Just wish I spoke more French so I could have had a decent conversation with the guy.

There's only one channel dedicated to anime in Turkey, and it's called Kidz / Animez TV.
Don't expect anything good though, they just keep broadcasting the same Naruto, Sailor Moon and Bleach episodes over and over again.
Other than that, there are rarily one or two kids anime in other kids channels. Like Doraemon on Disney Channel, Ginga e Kickoff!! on Minika GO.
The only anime sold at retail shops are Studio Ghibli anime, and maybe a few Pokémon movies, but that's it.
It sucks that we don't have companies like Funimation or Aniplex :/
Edit: Forgot to add that we can buy some manga too, including Death Note, Shingeki no Kyojin, One Piece, Naruto, Bleach etc.

In Poland we have tons of manga/LN publishers and only one anime distributor. Manga is quite cheap it's usualy between 20 - 30zł (5 - 8 $), translation differs from really good to horrible(RIP HakoMari). Yatta.pl is the our biggest online manga/anime shop.

Recently we got new anime/cartoon TV channel called 2x2TV. As their starting shows they are airing fully dubbed(including op and ed) Kaichou wa Maid-sama and K-On .
You can even switch between subs and dub. The problem with this channel is that now they are only avaible on some obscure cable TV distributor, waiting for premmision from bigger providers.

No anime besides maybe Pokemon and other kid stuff airs anymore here in the UK. We used to have a lot on Cartoon Network and Toonami, we even had a channel dedicated to anime called AnimeCentral, but soon enough they were all terminated.

Ergo, our anime publishers rely strictly on publicity through the internet and preexisting knowledge of anime to garner sales so we end up only getting the popular ones picked up by America with shared licenses throughout Europe to minimize cost and maximize profit. Currently we have three major anime distributing companies here in the UK which are Manga UK which distributes the popular titles like Naruto, Bleach, Attack on Titan and so on, Anime Limited which specializes in Limited Edition sets and goes after popular seasonal anime like Sword Art Online, Gurren Lagann, Tokyo Ghoul etc, and then there's MvM who goes after niche titles like Tenchi Muyo, Toradora, Bakemonogatari, Love Hina, etc however they've been improving recently and going after bigger titles such as Fate/Stay Night and releasing Limited Editions to compete with Anime Limited and they're good for classics like FLCL, Berserk, Chobits, Desert Punk and Lain which the other two avoid out of fear for not being current enough to build profit.

They typically sell their anime through Amazon and other third party media online stores, as well as through their own online stores. They all seem to be making enough to feed their markets but that seemed like the case for other anime publishers in the past like Beez which went bankrupt so who really knows. I would like for them to try to get their titles on TV but it might be way too expensive for the niche market that is anime here in the UK.

At least I won't have to worry about manga since books have no regional restrictions and we end up with everything the Americans get a hold of

In Cuba? There's no Internet. Some people "sell" (pirated) anime. You buy it and then you copy it to all your friends.

In my country, the blu-ray and DVD is not avaible on my country because too many illegal site to download and stream anime.in addiction,The goverment here are leave it all.
So you're never get caught because watched anime on illegal site or download that. And the reason is simple : the legal site for streaming is not have my native language subs

For figure,in my country you may find it on mall or online order with same price on japan for original figure

And for manga, manga are cheap if you compared with dollar but is bit expensive for people here. The price is IDR 22500-32500(about 2-3 dollars) and IDR 50000(about $4,5)for anime megazine.

I'm also from Brazil like OP. The anime selection in Netflix is poor, maybe 50 at most, and they are the trending shows; not good for someone who likes relatively obscure, old programmes like me (nothing wrong with the new, it's just that older anime are harder to find and not everybody knows about them unless they're classics). Crunchyroll is now working somehow. Until about last year I don't think it was available here.

There used to air Ranma, Samurai Champloo and Love Hina in PlayTV around 2007.
I remember thinking Samurai Champloo was boring, but then again I was a stupid little kid. I used to watch Ranma with my brother and I remember a bit of controversy surrounding the Brazilian dub of Love Hina. Also, let's not forget about Animax airing Blood+, Hell Girl, HunterXHunter and other stuff.
I should really watch Blood+ and Samurai Champloo now that I'm older. I hated Blood+ back then. Was too young to understand it.

In the 80s-90s, lots of tokusatsu and shows like Saint Seiya and Yu Yu Hakusho were on TV, although I'm not knowledgeable of that very much, I only based this off what my brother told me.

Brazil is careless about piracy, we don't really give a damn, and neither does the government. It's rampant and to be honest, considering all the taxes we pay for, I doubt people would stop pirating even if DVDs were more acessible.

Manga is commonly found even in your run-of-the-mill newsstand. Expect the most popular ones like Naruto, One Piece, Assassination Classroom, SAO, Orange and To Love Ru however... and not all volumes.

I never really visited Liberdade (apparently it's like Akihabara?) so I can't comment on that.

I live in Kuwait, but I am not a native and as far as I can tell, people here are really not a fan of anime or manga. They don't broadcast anime here only Pokemon and the only manga I've seen here are Attack on Titan and No. 6.
