I couldn't handle... I cried. But it's was nice, it's good to show the message that we can live happily after lost someone important but we can miss him/her too, we can cry sometimes without losing hopes for the future.

And... I'll probably do the "At-Home Curry" next week, it looks great and easy. I'll just replace the meat for soy meat and post the pic here. :)

this show speaks so much while saying so little. the wife only gets about 45 seconds of screentime with no dialogue, and yet the sweetness of her antics were still enough to make my eyes sting a little

Tsumugi's weird ass lisp is so annoying and contrived. I've worked at companies and went to school with people who had lisps but hers sounds so fake.

I was expecting either Tsumugi or her dad to cry but that school camping event ended sooner than it started.

Gotta admit, it was touching when Tsumugi hugged her dad after she got excited that they were making homemade curry and she glanced at her late mom's picture. TT__TT

When is Kotori going to get over her knife phobia?

That last scene made a bit teary. I don't remember how his wife died but I'm guessing it's because of an illness, right?

That ending :(

That tension, while cutting carrot :D

Wait, the father never told Tsumugi her mom died. He only told her that her mother "went away". How did she figure out she died? Plot hole

It is a very japanese thing. Just like the say "I like you" instead of "I love you", when someone dies, most of the time they say that person "went away" instead of saying that s/he died.

Dry curry this week! It sounds like it might have an interesting flavor, with raisins and apples. I might want to try it sometime. We finally got to see Tsumugi's mom and she seems really sweet. But that last scene with Tsumugi thinking about how her mom wasn't coming back was really sad.

finally we see mother's face. She's cute.
This episode is sentimental, especially when they flashback about mom.

I wonder what's with Kotori and knife? Is there any traumatic event that makes her can't use knife?
I'm guessing that happened when she was little.

anyone noticing she's always wear a band-aid on her finger?

Ahahahahaha he's so bored without his daughter around. Now Kotori just needs to figure out how get over her fear of knives. Another very good episode. I mentioned it before, but Kotori has a funny face, like, just her default face is funny.

But on the other hand, Tsumugi finally realized her mom wasn't coming back. I knew it was going to happen, just wasn't sure when... That hurt me.

This episode was fantastic, all that build-up and such an emotional scene at the end ;_;. This episode had the same feel as the first 2 episodes, you can feel the sadness.

Tsugumi's mom was so cute!! I loved that flashback where they find her crying in the kitchen. So sweet. Shows how strong Tsugumi's dad is though, he smiled at the memory and didn't cry. I'm glad they were able to find notes for how to make that curry again :')

Beautiful, despite not done no progress in the past Kotori, but has deepened the relationship between Inuzuka and Tsumugi, the culinary part was good, and it is becoming more and more an opportunity to deepen the story main. Designs with ups and downs, that love is Tsumugi! <3

It hit hard for me when they had a flashback of the mom while eating curry. And hit even harder when Tsumugi realized her mom is not coming back and cried. It got me teary eyed. Dammit!

For the people who are complaining that this episode was boring why are you watching this show. This follows the same formula as the other episodes. That makes it a great episode and show. I guess it makes it boring for you.

Tsumugi cut a carrot all by herself, good.

It's my first time hearing about curry with raisins. Well, we don't cook curry in the country I live sooooo

This episode made me tear up a bit. The moment when the mother put those glasses I was like 'They're such a cute couple!' awwwwwww

Tsumugi's such a good girl, she greets the table before her mom's memorial when coming home.

Whenever Inuzuka-san has that worried quiet gasp you know that we're closing in to the feels territory lol.

Love this show.

The last scene in this episode really makes you just feel sad for this poor happy family and how they had such a wonderful person taken away from them.

I wonder if Inuzuka's wife not saying anything is intentional in that at this point both of them have forgotten what her voice sounds like since it's been quite awhile since her death. That just makes the scene even more depressing honestly if that's true. :(

A tearjerker. And the episode that defines the whole series: the rituals and recipes for family meals are what holds the family together, whether it's parents and children, or a more random gathering of friends. The flavors and aromas of the cooking and the meal itself become intertwined with our memories, and so the evening meal becomes more than just calories on a plate...
