Okay so there are a few that are on hiatus but pretty much dead... Highschool of the dead and Nana

But to be honest while i'm disappointed, I understand.

HSOD - The Tsunami making the writer not want to write Apocolyptic manga, I understand

Nana - Ill health is another understandable reason

What I wanna talk about is Rei Hireo - writer of Black Lagoon

As far as I can tell, he has stopped and started, cos he has writers block or is just lazy....

Are there any other series like this? and anyone else feel both love and hatred towards Rei...

My beloved breaker is coming back in the near future, I understood the reason. But I'm selfish like that so I want my manga and I want it now!

I could agree, I don't know much about Black Lagoon.

I forgot one big Hiatus User:

Masami Kuramada.

10 years of Next Dimension less than 80 chapters... that's a crime.

To me Black Lagoon is the King of Haitus, mainly because Rei Hireo has NO reason to be on hiatus.

Hunter X Hunter, a lot of hiatus, but Togashi is ill a lot, so its understandable, not everyone can be like Oda & Aoyama.

Berserk obviously has been on hiatus A LOT. I've been reading it only for a couple years or so tho so it didn't bother me as much as the people who've read it for far longer.

Dead Dead Demon's Dededededestruction has been on hiatus since like March (I think) and isn't supposed to come out again until October...

I think Kuragehime is because the author is taking a break from it to start another manga.
Rainbow is amazing for the sole fact that all the chapters are in alphabetical order.

Iris Zero - it has been on hiatus for a long time due to author's health issue. . . I would say a bit disappointed because this is my favorite romance manga, but i do understand that being mangaka must be hard. . . Can only hope the author get well soon. . .

Also, Dogs: Bullet and Carnage - has been on hiatus about a year and a half. . . The author currently doing RWBY manga. . .

UQ Holder!'s been on hiatus since June... It's coming back in October, though. And Akamatsu's getting too old to do weekly chapters anymore so he's taking a break before switching to monthly releases so I get it.

The last chapter before the hiatus ended on a cliffhanger and was like "NEXT TIME YOU'LL FIND OUT EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED!!!!!" so fuck you Akamatsu.

I love Clamp, but this is the reason I've no intention of reading this. 14 years after the last published volume, and considering they're quite inclined to put series on hiatus, I don't think it will ever end. I kind of lost hope.

Then... Liselotte to Majo no Mori! I loved that manga, but Takaya-sensei suddenly abandoned it (I don't know why it's labeled as "complete" on MAL...), went on with Fruits Basket Another and forgot about it. On her blog she keeps saying sorry to the fans of the series, and that's all. I haven't read her blog for some time, so I don't know if anybody has any other news about it.

Another one I like and suddenly disappeared is UraBoku. I think the author picked it up again, but I bought the last published volume 3 years ago...

And last, even if I'm not a fan of Ichigo Takano, I'm still waiting for ReCollection, which I liked more than Yumemiru Taiyou and Orange...

Sorry. English isn't my native language so I commit mistakes sometimes.

I was happy for the return of the manga so I think the correct phrase would have been "its return".
