| I'm just not well versed in anime movies, but the only one that comes to mind is the ano hi mita movie... although it really is just a recap of the anime. I would just recommend the anime since it's a short series with really clean art/animation. But yeah, you might just not have available time for that.. |
| I'm not really sure about literal tearjerkers, but some of Hosoda's works like Wolf Children and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time can be pretty sad at moments (especially the former). |
