| Probably the most blatant example is Princess Arete. The movie is good, not anything to be crazy about in my opinion, but solid enough. But the MC (Arete) is in a whole different level, and I wish she was accompanied by a more exciting narrative because her personality and portrayal stand out a lot. I also have this kind of issue with Death note. I see this series as a very good entertainment that stands out mostly for having a couple of characters (Light and L) who are charismatic and insanely fun to see interact, and even manage to make up for the inconsistancies this series has in other aspects. |

| A lot from Bleach, but we all know how bad it can get. Kurotsuchi, Aizen, Ulquiorra, Urahara, Byakuya, Shunsui and maybe more I can't remember are great, but yeah, Bleach fails in a lot of other areas. Also Sagara Sousuke from Full Metal Panic! and Katsuragi Keima from The World God Only Knows. Altough I may end up considering them favorites of mine once I watch The Second Raid and Megami-Hen, since I've heard they are both a lot better than their first seasons. |

| Kanbaru from Monogatari, Ami Kawashima from Toradora, and Koto from Kyousougiga. Koto is fun, energetic genki girl, has a giant space hammer, and is totally adorable. Watching such an innocent yet destructive character adjust to her new world was a lot of fun. Kanbaru's the best thing about Monogatari. I love how she fucks with Araragi in the hopes he'll make a mistake with her and get killed by Hitagi. She loves making him uncomfortable, and I don't really like Araragi so those parts are great. Ami Kawashima is by far the most interesting character in her show. It's the closest Toradora gets to anything psychological and a romance involving her (in doesn't have to end happily ever after, in fact, it probably shouldn't) would probably be one of my favorite shows. She's not exactly likeable at first, but you understand very well why she's like that. She looks down on high schoolers, children, as she sees them and considers herself an adult and all that and Ryuuji causes her to develop very well by showing her that she's not significantly better or deeper or more intellectual. |

| That would have to be Rem from Re:Zero in my case. It's not that I hated Re:Zero and that Rem was an amazing character, it's just that as soon as Re:Zero became unpromising and totally crashed down I had to say it was a literal disappointment. However, I realized that I was liking Rem more than I should have, probably because I like the idea of unconditional love. Rem was not an amazing character to be honest, her story with Ram was kinda lame and the romantic development with Subaru (some unfinished business) was at most, average. |

| Charlotte and Laura from Infinite shitness Stratos....two very good waifu-tier characters who have to suffer the disgrace of being in a very shitty anime. And...  ^Rin is not only my favorite character in ALL Fate anime put together.....she's in my top 10 character list! BUT...for the exception of Loli/Fate....I have a love/hate relationship with the Fate anime, mostly due to fucking Fate Fans....the absolute WORST of the WORST anime fandom that exists...pure fucking cancer. The show itself is treated like this high and mighty entity, when in reality IT'S JUST ANOTHER SHOUNEN! I don't give a shit how good the animation sometimes is, pretty pictures don't make the story good. And guess what....the normal person who hasn't spent 10 fucking hours playing F/SN (A PORN GAME) isn't going to understand this shit fully, and unfortunately the anime panders to these people more than the average fan that just wants to watch a shounen about magicians and their bad ass servants kill each other in a Royal Rumble type fight. You see, I'm already ranting because this is what the Fate anime make me do.....and mind you....I actually DO LIKE IT! But I fucking can't stand the hardcore fans. |
