| So just realised that you cant report a review that has been reported once before,so lets assume if you made a safe review -> someone reported it but it is not deleted -> Then you edit the review and made it a review against the rules...Then there is no way to report that review again and it will go unpunished... Realised this after seeing a 3 months old review that is clearly against site guidelines still not deleted... |

| No, that's not how it works. The message that the review has already been reported only appears while a report about this review is in the moderation queue (to prevent multiple reports about the same review). If the report gets denied (which would be the case if the review does not violate the guidelines) then it is possible to report it later if the user decides to edit it and make it against the guidelines. If you get the message several weeks or months after the review was written then it means the report is still in the queue. Though it doesn't necessarily mean it's been in the queue for months, some reviews that violate the rules only get reported much later. The review mod team was very short-staffed for several months, that's why there are still older reports in the queue that they couldn't deal with yet. And not every reported review is an easy case where you can quickly remove the review, sometimes they violate several rules or need to be edited, and these cases take much longer to deal with than removing a simple spam review. We hired a batch of new review mods some time ago and will hire more in the near future, but the new mods have to be trained first, so it can still take some time until all older reports have been dealt with. Once we have hired and trained the new mods things should go back to review reports being handled faster. |
