Moreover, if we really want to jump to the last post, then we already can click the link in the "Latest Post" column. But what really sucks is when the latest post was deleted, then all we get is a "404, page no exist", without any obvious clue as to what went wrong. Example (only valid until someone creates a new "latest post" in that topic or until MAL forum DB catches up with itself) : I wanted to find the Most Overrated/Underrated Anime Discussion Thread so I searched for "overrated", in: "Anime Discussion". Result : http://myanimelist.net/forum/?action=search&q=overrated&u=&uloc=1&loc=1 Now when I click the topic title, it links to : http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1504768&goto=post&id=47231768 , which then gets resolved to : http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1504768&show=500#post500 - and what I get is 404, page no exists. Well, the topic currently only has 499 valid posts, so no wonder. OK, I can still click the link for "page : 1", but I should not have to. And some folks may not find this "solution" to the problem. well. have a nice weekend, everyone. |
