 During a streaming event hosted via Nico Live for Kagerou Project, it was announced that Mekakucity Actors will get a new animated series, with the project to be tentatively titled Mekakucity Reload. It is unknown at the moment whether the series will be a sequel of the first season.Kagerou Project is a series of vocaloid songs created by Jin. The mixed-media project has received various adaptations, including a 12-episode anime adaptation in Spring 2014, produced by studio Shaft. A light novel series under the title Kagerou Daze has been publishing since 2012, with its seventh volume to be released on August 29. | I'll wait until we know more about whether this a sequel, prequel or whatever before passing any judgement on this. Hopefully it's less confusing and doesn't have scenes as bad as that one in episode 8 with the horrible CGI (so bad it makes the new Berserk look massively high-budget by comparison, and that's from someone who likes the new Berserk). |

| Hmm, I'm not sure if it's going to be a sequel since the first season ended decently. Maybe a remake with new episodes within the story more in depth rather than rushed and include a few episodes telling the alternate ending. |

| huhuhu I was there watching the Seek at Mekakucity... Soumen. LOVED the songs and novels, liked the manga, the covers were nice... not a big fan of the anime. In my opinion, the anime was a mess, it could have been WORSE but it was Jin's first time directing an anime, let's not forget that... a shaft anime for a beginner is quite a lot of work. Please let this not be a sequel, let's take the FMA route and start everything once again. PLEASE JIN! MAKE THIS ANIME A GREAT ONE! Also Shidu is supposed to be involved this time so yeah, may be better. |

| Well, this news came at an appropriate time, I was thinking about getting into the Kagerou project soon. Hopefully it's a remake because I thought the first anime adaptation was subpar. |

| Wow, didn't this show get an overwhemlmingly negative reception in Japan? I recall that fans were burning show-related merchandise in the streets or something. Not to mention the record low ratings in Nico Nico Douga. Weird that Shaft would pick this back up after all that storm. |
