This film had me laughing more than it probably should have, but not because of quality or anything. The CG visuals reminded me of Playstation 1 era graphics, specifically the likes of Chrono Cross or Final Fantasy 7/8. There was a real sense of nostalgia with this one, and with the uncanny valley levels of oddness, the creature designs actually worked really well to make them seem unsettling. That, and the really wet and icky sounds helped in the worst ways possible, geez.
