I'm glad to see Monogatari still doing quite well.

Nisio returns to top the chart again. Nademonogatari's got a pretty amusing premise too, which I'm looking forward to seeing animated someday.

Psh old news, goblin slayer is where it's at.

Considering Nademonogatari was released on July 29th and the weekly ranking ended two days later, it sold 16,071 copies on an average of 3 days, which I consider a fair sell. Wazamonogatari on the other hand sold 66,100 copies upon its release, but ranking for that week ended 4 days later it was published, so 13,222 copies on an average of 5 days (39,666 copies in a 3-day average).

I think Monogatari's market is pretty consistent. Of course, it's no longer what it used to be, but still decent enough for a franchise that's been running for almost 10 years now.

Megumin's volume is still strong after a month I see~ that volume must've received a lot love from other Megumin's fan! It's too glorious.

Well a bunch of new volumes released and a huge wave is in its second week so the cut off line is rather high.

The volumes not being in the rankings doesn't mean it sold not much right off the bat. Should still be within the top 5 series rankings,

Osomatsu-san everywhere

Actually it's 26 volume. Two volume is very much plot important "side story"(vol 7.5 & 8.5 which start right after the place anime end) and one bonus volume that came with anime. Plus there are several side story that haven't been bundled into a volume.

I'm guessing Kimi no na wa is a big success?

It is selling well but it will depend on how the movies does though the pre-screening was successful and it is opening in a lot of theaters so it will probably do good too.

So Alderamin actually sold around 10k as a whole this week, heh.
Considering how much this series is completely slipping under the radar right now, it's not that bad, I guess.

And it's not surprise that Rokujouma didn't make it. Do you know how other HJ Bunko series fare on the sales?

Their bestselling ongoing series is either Rokujouma or Seirei Gensouki - the latest volume of the latter has the top reported sales for the label in the year to date, with a little over 9k sold in the first week, which had a few days more sales than this week had for new releases.

*Note that this uses both different data and a different method of counting to that used by Oricon. For volumes in a situation that HJ Bunko is in this week the method differences tend to result in POS giving lower rankings than Oricon does, as can be seen from Rokujouma's ranking above compared to the volume's bunko ranking from Oricon.


Incidentally, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if Rokujouma was 21st on the series ranking.

Figure that their best seller is not sold that high either.
