| Soooooo here's once again the comparison to the manga, what they adapted/skipped etc. It gets a bit more complicated because they re-arranged a bunch of stuff so it's not really 100% accurate, but overall it's not a problem. They adapted ch. 81-85 this time around. I'm gonna pack the details in a spoiler so it doesn't use up that much space. My personal prediction how the episodes will go (no spoilers other than when the arc presumably ends) |

| Random Nikumi "drama" at the beginning looked stupidly ridiculous, I guess that's how they had to pace it to make room for the episode though Souma could have seriously fucked up Mimasaka if he just decided to do another dish in the last minute... Mima just has some ridiculous deus ex information gathering power that isn't really conceivable. Sonoka's tits though, she's quite the Honoka. |

| DAMN. That was an awesome start :D like HOLY SHIT. just like 30 seconds in the episode xD Interesting judgement of Erina. The last time she tried his food he got a better response even though she didn't admit it was good. This time there was nothing. Just rejection. That's definitely the sign it wasn't good enough. That end though. Now I'm kinda sad. I knew we wouldn't get the full match yet but that was barely anything at all D: The episode was a nice change of pace but I really wanted to see the match >.> Also I can't wait for the decision with that jury xD Inui and Doujima gonna be awesome! :D |

| Beef stew is probably the most common dish Japanese people think of when thinking of western food, aside from the obvious: burgers, fries, pizza, etc. I think almost all countries have their own version of this so I'm not sure what style Souma is aiming for. I don't like eating beef so it'd take a lot for me to eat it, let alone impress me with it. The only beef I eat is in hamburgers, salisbury, thinly-sliced strips in gyudon, in some Korean food like galbi, etc. I don't like steaks or beef stews. Takumi is going to lose. I just know it. I haven't read the manga so I don't know what's going to happen but just judging by his previous battles, I feel like he's losing his touch. He's like the Vegeta of Shokugeki no Souma. Also, I don't get the Nakiri x Souma ship. It grosses me out tbh, they seem like siblings to me. |

| Wow. Pacing a bit slower. Thought they would finish 1 match each episode. And I doubt they will make Hayamas match faster. Shouma finishing next episode and Hayama vs the other guy in Episode 7 then. Finale in episode 8. And 9-12/13 some other plot after the tournament. Or maybe they will make 2 episodes for each semi-fimale. 7-8 for Hayamas match. And more for finale so the tournament will end at the end of this season. (Maybe 1 episode after finishing the tournament.) But then they should bring a 3rd season fast. Can't wait to see more of the plot after the tournament. |
| Series are called Shokugeki no Souma. Souma is the MC and he bets he's not going to cook anymore, it's the 5th episode out of 13... Come on... we all know what's going to happen. I'd love someone to explain me why this series has so much score over some other series. |

| I thought that newspaper club member wanting to be a journalist was strange at first considering they're all in a cooking school. But then I thought that maybe he wanted to be a food critic or food journalist, as there's plenty of food magazines and blogs out there. I suppose to know how to write about food, you need to be able to know how to cook it as well as any chef would. Erina and her shoujo manga was the best part of this episode--no, the series as a whole. Thinking that holding hands is shameless is so innocently cute. |

| Erina acted really cute in this Episode! And the part where Mimasaka just appeared out of nowhere acting like Souma was very creepy. Kind of showed how far he would go just to get his perfect trace, even though it was all in his head. Can't wait for him to get his arse handed to him in the next episode. |

| This feels more like a season 1 episode, probably because it wasn't that focused in the tournament and it was more like Souma deveoloping the dish he will make in this round. Erina is annoying as always, cannot wait for Souma to show how good his dish is. I don't know if the part of Mimasaka imitating Souma was supossed to be hillarious or creepy, but it was really funny. Kinda try hard how they are hyping the food battle when it's obvious Souma is going to win. |

| That journalist was kind of annoying ... well, at least his presence helped Souma? :P Liked the part Erina played there, aww, she likes reading shoujo manga! XD That's cute. Nice to see her thinking (and missing) Hinako too. Seems like her taste-testing it was the help that Souma needed ... well, Subaru kind of knew what he was up to anyway. His image training was dead-on ... that's a technique that actors use isn't it? :O Nice to see Megumi and Nikumi jumping in to help too :P Plus some of the judges are the graduates from last season! :D Anyway, it's pretty obvious that Souma will win even through the "twist", so I'm actually looking forward to the next match more ... it was nice that they jumped in a bit with explaining the dish though :3 |

| Boring but better episode, what I want to say that I predicted everything that would happen beside Erina tasting (I liked this manga reading part thing), but it was better to see something different than the match. Still only 3/5. This season is very weak.. btw... ALICE GOT BIGGER OPPAI THAN ERINA?! wow |

| The calm before the match. They did a pretty faithful adaptation so far, so I've been pretty happy to see Subaru vs Soma, but I'm not used to Subaru's voice at all. |
