    One of the most memorable sci-fi movies of all time for me.

    This just speaks "hot-blooded action" to me.
  7. [X] Concrete Revolutio: Choujin Gensou (13 eps)
    I've seen bits of fight scenes from this, and it's captured my interest.

    Might be one of those super-underrated classics, who knows?

    This looks just weird enough to be right up my alley.

    An essential, uplifting show with a great cast of characters. Fun and introspective.
  2. [X] Uchuu Kyoudai (99 eps)
    Inspirational is a pretty cliché way to describe a story, but Space Brothers fits the bill from start to "finish". Its attention to detail and realism is astounding. Delightful and fascinating.
  3. [X] Aria The Animation (13 eps)
    Probably the only piece of fiction I've ever seen that takes place in a genuine utopia. Beautiful and serene.
  4. [X] Beelzebub-jou no Okinimesu mama. (12 eps)
    A hidden gem from 2018. Colorful and sweet.
  5. [X] Tamayura: Hitotose (12 eps)
    No dragons, astronauts, gondoliers, or demon lords to be found here. Just four girls making memories. Simple and relaxing.

  6. [X] Fruits Basket 1st Season (25 eps)
    Really enjoyed the original. I'm looking forward to watching this reboot.
  7. [X] Little Witch Academia (TV) (25 eps)
    Everything about this show looks cute and exciting.
  8. [X] Kimi ni Todoke (25 eps)
    I've only heard good things about it, and it just looks so charming. I'm a sucker for romance if it's done well.
  9. [X] Mahoromatic: Automatic Maiden (12 eps)
    A throwback to the early days of both Shaft and Gainax. Looks goofy and fun.

    Once upon a time I saw people on some forum talking about LoGH and decided to give it a try, though given how I usually tended to just stop watching shows and forget about them, I was sure I wouldn't finish it and even more sure that it wouldn't get me into any other anime. Well... I was a bit wrong, I guess? xD
  2. [X] Keijo!!!!!!!! (12 eps)
    Anime which taught me that shows with very stupid premises actually can be very fun. And that ecchi doesn't bite. And that sports shounens are cool. Such an educational series, really.
  3. [X] Id:Invaded (13 eps)
    I'm not sure if it's really that good, but while watching I was too busy being on the edge of my seat to care. Looking at its placement on this list you may guess who's my favourite character.
  4. [X] Yuri!!! on Ice (12 eps)
    I watched it as it aired and it never failed to make me feel happier. Even now just hearing the OP still makes me smile.
  5. [X] Area 88 (3 eps)
    Exactly the kind of drama I like, especially loved the ending. And of course I have to mention how great are dogfights here.

  6. [X] Tytania (26 eps)
    Adaptation of other novel by the LoGH's author, even if it's probably way weaker I just have to eventually check it out.
  7. [X] Terra e... (TV) (24 eps)
    One of the very first entries on my PTW list, guess it's time to finally see if I agree with all those good things I've heard about it.
  8. [X] Uchuu Kaizoku Captain Herlock (42 eps)
    I've been meaning to explore Leijiverse stuff other than Yamato for years now and this seems like a good place to start.
  9. [X] Baby Steps (25 eps)
    Representative of all (many, many...) sports anime I plan to watch someday.
  10. [X] Miira no Kaikata (12 eps)
    I think after all those wars, murders and sports rivalries above this collection could use something sweet and adorable, and this series seems perfect. Also contains a mummy, which is always a plus in my book.

    The shared history of the MC's makes you root for them to get past their misunderstanding as they work through their inner demons. The characters are beautiful too.
  2. [X] Hana yori Dango (51 eps)
    Tsukushi, the MC, is SO likable! She's tough and stands up to bullies, but has the tender heart of a girl figuring out what love is.
  3. [X] Golden Time (24 eps)
    Despite the stretchy supernatural elements, this drama/comedy romance is rich in both character and relationships for the ensemble cast.
  4. [X] Sukitte Ii na yo. (13 eps)
    This was the first romance anime I ever watched. This drama showcases first love between teenagers and the mistakes they make.
  5. [X] Chihayafuru (25 eps)
    This is the least "romantic" of the group, but there is a triangle, and unrequited love along with Chihiya's passion for her sport and friends.

  6. [X] Hachimitsu to Clover (24 eps)
    I adore "love at first sight" stories, so I hope this one is good!
  7. [X] Toradora! (25 eps)
    This is on many top ten romance lists, so I consider it mandatory watching for me.
  8. [X] Special A (24 eps)
    The description grabbed my attention, what with a girl competing with a boy in sports and academics and she has no idea he has feelings for her.
  9. [X] Ookami to Koushinryou (13 eps)
    A romance with actual grown-ups, not teens or college students!
  10. [X] Kimi ni Todoke (25 eps)
    Okay, I only want to watch this one because the VA for Hisoka in Hunter x Hunter (2011) is the voice of the main love interest. I have to hear this.

    I wasn't expecting much going into this show, but it had me in stitches at various points in the series. The characters have very relatable moments and reactions. Also one of the best giggling scenes ever.

    I have such a soft spot for this series. The manga was one of the first series I'd bought, so this was one of my formative series. I just find it to be a really cute series.

    This is a series I'd been looking forward to getting an anime for so long and I wasn't disappointed. The animation is so stunning and I love the flow of the entire series. The characters are so charming, too.

    I have had this recommended to me at various points and it's been on my radar for a while now, so I figured I should give it a go with this collection!
  7. [X] Kotarou wa Hitorigurashi (10 eps)
    I've heard really good things about this series and it's another one that has been flagged at me since it aired.

    I barely know anything about this, since I love going into things blind, but I spied it on my recommendation list.

    I feel like these five anime encapsulate me as a person and an anime watcher. These are not all anime I consider 10s, but they are all anime that are memorable, intriguing, and often downright scary. Buckle up for a fiendish treat of horrific delight~
  1. [X] Blood+ (50 eps)
    Way before I joined MAL and back when Netflix only had a handful of anime on its platform, I watched Blood+ ♥ It is my all-time favorite anime and I think everyone should give it a chance.
  2. [X] Trigun Stampede (12 eps)
    Trigun Stampede is a visual splendor of what CGI anime can do in a dystopian, western-inspired, horror-filled futuristic setting. My love for Trigun skyrocketed because of Stampede.
  3. [X] Sonny Boy (12 eps)
    This is masterclass storytelling, right here. Throw everything you may think out the window because this is a frightening, trippy, tale that I will always think about on occasion.
  4. [X] Yuukoku no Moriarty (11 eps)
    There isn't much that beats a psychological retelling of a famous fictional historical detective, is there? This anime revolutionized what I thought could be covered by a 1-cour.
  5. [X] Mnemosyne: Mnemosyne no Musume-tachi (6 eps)
    Truly fiendish, this anime has yet to top itself as one of the best plotlines criticizing humanity. The continuous progression of characters in Mnemosyne is unlike any other.

    And for these five anime, I feel like they encapsulate all of the good, bad, and the in-between that comes with anime watching. I have the feeling of being intrigued by all of them, but have no idea what my opinion on them will be once completed. I can only hope that they are as memorable as they are fiendish ♥

    I've watched a lot of Devilman content, but still haven't gotten around to Devilman Lady. Maybe we can figure out how horrific this 70s anime is together?

    THE quintessential anime that I have yet to dive into. I have countless friends, relatives, and strangers who tell me to watch this sci-fi horror extravaganza. The question is, what if I never watch it?
  8. [X] Baraou no Souretsu (24 eps)
    Regency era complicated anime with a below average score and a supposedly surprise twist? Sign me up for whatever this is about to be!
  9. [X] Vampire Knight (13 eps)
    You either love it or you hate it, it's that vampire anime from the late 2000s! I had a friend who watched this in high school which made her not want to watch anime. Years later I'm still putting it off.

    What drew me in was the artstyle/colors. Despite having some pretty dark themes, Idaten became one of my favorite dumb fun/popcorn entertainment shows (with a great OP as well).

    Tsundere vampire girl. Fictional Russia. Is there a better combination? No, no there isn't.

    I've always loved anything spy-related.

    A slow burn, but one that I couldn't stop watching. Great world building and characters. I generally don't gravitate towards older shows, but this is one I'm glad I found.

    Its interesting choice of POV storytelling and its very realistic tone are definitely different from most things I've seen.

    I have very fond memories of playing the Professor Layton games on the Nintendo DS in the late 2000s/early 2010s. I had no idea that it was a Japanese franchise, nor that it had a pretty recent TV adaptation. While Professor Layton is just a supporting character, I still want to watch this for the nostalgia. And of course, HanaKana voicing a main character is always a plus.

    I'm a big fan of adult romance anime and it's got the same original creator as Urusei Yatsura, which I've enjoyed the remake of. I wanna get into more pre-2000s stuff and feel this would be a good start.

    My other favorite, love how it differs from the typical isekai mc and gives you a guy running on spite instead. OP angry dude chooses guns in a fantasy world while collecting weird monster girls

    One of the first isekai I watched, not very well known, but you can't go wrong with isekai and robots. Also this doesn't have as many members as the other options so it can hopefully delay some people. Isekai'd otaku loves robots so he builds a lot of OP mechas for war
  4. [X] Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute! (20 eps)
    Anyone sensing the theme yet? OP MC and Fantasy is all I need to be happy. Dude puts in crazy amounts of effort into pretending to be this hidden OP guy and makes up an evil organization he's fighting against, somehow getting everything right. I totally didn't choose this just to add to the chapter count
  5. [X] Isekai Nonbiri Nouka (12 eps)
    Ok not all isekais have to be about fighting, sometimes it's nice to just watch a dude build a farm and an unofficial harem (or watch a child make a laundromat, but I only have 5 choices 😭). Of course, he's still OP to fit my trashy tastes. OP dude only has farming-related skills, so he makes do. The way they decided to add triangles to everyone's eyes is something we just have to accept

  6. [X] Youjo Senki (12 eps)
    One of the most well known isekais out there and one of the few franchises I haven't tried yet. Totally wasn't just holding out on watching this so I could include it on my collection
  7. [X] Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute! 2nd Season (12 eps)
    Season one was good, so I'm playing it safe instead of choosing something random. Totally not another attempt at delaying people
  8. [X] Isekai de Cheat Skill wo Te ni Shita Ore wa, Genjitsu Sekai wo mo Musou Suru: Level Up wa Jinsei wo Kaeta (13 eps)
    Manga was good so let's hope the anime is too

    Ok, ok, this is technically not an isekai, but... well I loved the manhwa and this is my collection so I get to do whatever I want. You should read the manhwa too though, otherwise it won't count uh.. because it's a good read, yeah, but the novel is better. READ THE NOVEL TOO, OK BYE

    Also not an isekai, but again; I can do whatever I want. One of my favorite manhwas ever, yes I don't only read about OP dudes, I also read about OP doctors! Villain queen gets executed, becomes a doctor in the modern world and then dies in a plane crash that sends her back to her original life. Confusing enough? Good. Let's hope the anime has some different art because that ML was... rough in the manhwa
    And if someone out there has kept track and is confused as to why it took so long for my collection to come out, I 100% did not make Shey wait almost a year so I could include the last two animes
