| [/deafmute] So long story short I was browsing MAL after watching Seto no Hanayome and wanted to see a list of harem anime via the genre tag. While I still have seen only a fraction of it, it made me ponder over a few things. Things like: "Why is Aki Sora a harem anime?" "Why Zero no Tsukaima series isn't a harem anime?" Not long after despairing over the failed tags, I found a harem club which has a more accurate list of harem anime. So my question, is there a specific guide on the definition of a genre in MAL? Or do we just google it? What use is the harem genre tag as a more essential feature if it failed to provide what anime in their category and misslead people? If it's a problem with manpower, then may I suggest that the member may suggest what genre the anime is with mod/admin approval. If you feel a title does not have the correct genres, you're welcome to request a genre addition/removal in this thread. However, please remember that genres are usually never exact and what one may feel is one genre, another may not. |
