I guess I would recommend a series I gave a 6. It's above-average, so it's not bad at all and has some redeeming qualities at least. It would also depend on what type of anime it is and who I'm recommending it to.

My rating simply decide what order I rec but does not mean I won't. In most cases, I will simply view the shared list and go down, if it happens to be something I rated 6 or below that fits, then I will recommend it as tastes differ.

Check their mean score, usually MAL user put 7 as average (by anime industry / watcher standard).
Then 6 is just another something below average for them.

But for people that put 5 as average, 6 is slightly above average which usually good enough to watch for 1 time.

*I have problem with putting too much anime in 7 region despite there is some with minor good / bad things in it. So Im transition to put 5 as average again so I can easily put all anime in their proper group. And that is why you shouldnt get offended if people give anime score of 3 or below.
Watching style atm:

1. Mindless Gaming + Anime streaming with dual monitor
2. Focused + Anime binged watching with speed up
3. Couch / Bed Anime watching with large TV
4. Relaxing in virtual cinema with VR.

A 6/10 for me means that I found the majority of it boring so probably no, unless if I'm trolling lol

Yes. I rated Show By Rock!!'s anime a 6 and recommended to somebody wanting recommendations a couple days ago, actually. They were wanted more shows like K-On, so I recommended the SB69 anime since it also features a cute girl band who play music.

The majority of the problems I had with Show By Rock!!'s anime stemmed from the fact that I'm a fan of the game it's based on and was wanting it to be more like the game, so for a lot of people who don't play the game they wouldn't be aware of these differences and can possible enjoy it more than I did.

Yes. A 6/10 is definitely not a bad score. It's usually a score I give out when I can understand why a series is great, yet at the time understand that it isn't for me.

Hell yeah. The Big O's as cool as cool can be, Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle are visual marvels, and RahXephon is a fascinating bit of anime history that any serious fan needs to see.

Depends, usually 6s are stuff I could tolerate but definitely wouldn't watch again or watch sequels of.

Of course, my scores are made mostly considering the overall quality of the anime. Quality doesn't equal enjoyment. Not to mention 6 is a good score, not that good but still a positive score. But yeah, for exemple, i gave 6 to SAO, should be a 5 but i really loved it so i gave it a 6. I would recommend that to a lot of people because it is really enjoyable.

Not highly, but 6 just means "meh" so I wouldn't go out of my way to prevent them from subjecting themselves to it.

First of all I wouldn't recommend anything based simply on the score, a simple number doesn't tell you anything about the show, besides for me everything 6 and above means I enjoyed it, I would recommend even a show that I gave a 4 or lower if it's something that I think a certain person would enjoy

I would : ).
All of my scores are just fit on my taste so that shouldn't determine if you will like it or not.

Honestly yes, depending on the genre and the preference that person has for anime.
For example, if my friend enjoyed "School Days" I would recommend he watch "Yosuga No Sora" or maybe even "White Album 2".

No. Most my animes are 8 or more. If it got six, it's not a good sign.

Depending on the person but I'll most likely recommend it since anything higher than 4 is something that I enjoyed

Yup same for me. Because when I recommend an anime it means it was really good to me and worth watching, but a 6 was just okay. Only if I give it a 8, 9, or 10 do I recommend.

especially if I rated something a 6/10 because it wasn't really my thing, but I still recognized the quality of the content as something some1 else could enjoy if they were into the genre
if it was a hentai I rated a 6, then yea cuz that's a pretty good score from me lol

Below 5= hope you're a Masochist.
Equal to 5= if you're bored watch this.
Above 5= Not bad, watch this!

So yeah 6 is enjoyable

It depends on the request. Some people have weird fetish these days. Or requesting some gore/rape anime (probably 7 or 6). Or maybe there're some good underrated anime. I would recommend Berserk 2016 for any action anime lover.

6 means "low score/rating" right?
Depend, sometimes my rating is full of subjectivity (read : salty mine), even with low score, i still recommend HxH 2011 though, the other.. maybe NO

6 is mediocre, don't waste your time. Go watch quality anime

If it's really fits what he really likes (criterias) and not many of the likes around, why not? Then again (in my case) 6 is average-ish and when we 'recommend' someone we should give good ones right?

It's technically above average. I would recommend all the 6/10's on my list -at least if the premise catches your interest even a little bit.

I would only recommend a 6 if it suited their taste. A 6's positives outweighs its negatives but at the same time, there are better shows to watch.

Obviously. I'd recommend something rated with 1 depending what they look for. If people care about the rating so much they should just refer to various top lists instead of asking others stupid questions like how "good" something is. That is not how you're supposed to approach and describe things.

I'd recommend anything if that was what the user was looking for.

For example, I gave Monster Musume a 6. I would easily recommend to those looking for an ecchi harem, as I feel that it's one of the better ones I watched.

I gave Shigatsu a 5 but its a really popular and beloved anime so I could say that I would recommend it to others. (Even though there are other shows that likely do its shtick a lot better)

If someone said "Hey, should I watch this show?" and I gave it a 6/10, I'd say "Yeah, check it out."

However, if someone said "Which shows should I watch?" I wouldn't recommend a 6/10.

^^^^ this.

Also, a 6/10 for me could be a 9/10 to someone else depending on their taste.

Yes, because unlike the other terrible raters on this website my average is 5. Anything 5 or higher is watchable. I am also a somewhat objective scorer (blah blah scoring is subjective), so I'll rate a show I dislike highly and a show I love poorly. A show with a score of 6 may be terrible but was likable enough for me to recommend.

6 is not a bad score, but I would rather recommend something rated 8 and above

When I see something rated 6/10 I feel like it means "not a bad show, just nothing special"

6 doesn't necessarily mean bad imo, it's just not outstanding and it's an "eh" show, if y'know what I mean. But no, I wouldn't recommend an anime that I gave a 6, simply because I rated it a 6 because I didn't notice anything special in it and it was just a generic show and not memorable, but at the same time not bad either. I would strongly recommend shows rated 9 or 10.

Of course I will recommend an anime that I rated a 6. 6 is my "biased above average" rating where I give a seemingly average anime an extra point because there was something about it that I liked. So if someone is looking for a certain anime, and an anime that I rated a 6 has that something, than I will recommend it and they probably might like it more than me.

I'd only bother to actively recommend anime I've rated 5 or 6 to people who are looking for specific things that those anime contain. Otherwise I might recommend them if the other person asks if they should watch it (depending on what type of person they are) but I wouldn't go out of my way to make sure they watch it.
