| I mean, she's probably my favorite character in the show too, but damn I would have thought Aqua or Kazuma at least would have given her a run for her money for the most favorited character in the anime. But nah fam, Megumin easily has more than double the amount of favorites of every other character in the show combined .-. That's a lot of explosion magic fans. So I guess just tell my why Megumin > Everyone else. Have a boom |

| She is kinda overrated, tbh. Her explosion gag is funny, but apart of that, I find her decent at best. Darkness is better (imo). |

| 1) She's a chuuni girl which by default makes her best girl there already 2) Loli 3) She's very passionate and honest about the things she likes, and it also happens to be a rather... unusual passion she has so she gets some originality points in the process as well 4) The silly and parodic nature of the show itself makes her character shine pretty much all the time, much more so than Aqua and especially Darkness ever really has a chance to do in comparison 5) In short, she's just a ton of fun to watch almost regardless of what she's doing Oh and her so-called "rivalry" with Yunyun later on in the light novels is pure comedy gold as well I might add |

| I actually like Aqua more :x They did a good job with the characters though, i liked all the 3 heroines, each have their own traits that make them great and i could see Darkness being a love interest |

| Because explosions make everything better. Something sucks? Just add more explosions until it stops sucking. Character isn't best girl in a show? Make her blow up stuff until she is. It's as simple as that. |
| I don't know. Megumin was obviously ripped off from Kyouko from Magical Girl Kyouko, which was hell of a lot famous when she appeared on TV. But her explosion antics tire me out. I prefer Darkness or maybe Yun Yun. Megumin's VA is good, but I prefer Ai chan. |

| I was thinking that perhaps Megumin was a tad over-rated but I've been enjoying her a lot more in the dubbed version as I'm a big fan of the VA Erica Mendez plus I'm like a dubbed gal 90% of the time. I'd say Aqua was probably my favourite though. KONO SUBA :) |

| My favorite thing about this anime is the fact they all have stereotypical cliches, but based around actual game mechanics with weaknesses. She is that little girl with a big gun cliche, but a big gun that only fires once. Then comically faints. One shot glass cannon. That joke never gets old. |

| the explosion gag came out 10 years before megumin with louise from zero no tsukaima but ok megumin is cute and her va is emilia and those are her bonus points, her clothing is horrible and she isnt anything special other than that |

| I thought Darkness was by far the best character in the show S1 along with Kazuma. Megumin was really good during S2 though, especially the earlier episodes. I'd still say Darkness was my favourite overall. Her VA's fantastic. |
