Well, I've never had much interest in the Gundam series before since I couldn't see it, but now I think I'm definitely going to give them a go!

What really made me click this news article was the fact that they're being streamed to Europe AS WELL. I like this idea a lot; it's a good marketing strategy and whomever thought of it was clearly on the ball! :D

Free, legal streaming of Gundam in Europe? A good excuse to start Gundam 0079 on feburary 1st, then, assuming it includes the UK.

I have already seen all the above series, but it is a good idea and I support this fully. I really think they should stream "Char's Counterattack" as well though, as that is the one chronologically closest to Unicorn.

Depends on the title, BEEZ has the rights for every European country in Europe but didn't necessarily do all the dubbings and subtitles in every language. Basically, you have English, German and French for every title (except for Destiny that wasn't released in Germany) and then on some other titles like Wing and SEED you have Polish, Spanish, Dutch or so. Don't remember what are the exact languages for all those titles but you can check it out on Amazon or BEEZ's official site. Only thing is that they will definitely not pay for new dubbings or subtitles and only use the existing ones. It's a free broadcast after all, they won't gain anything for it.

In every age, in every place, the deeds of men remain the same.

hmmm these guys are finally getting it. by providing these for free, they are bound to at least get one new fan if not many. free always attracts people. i certainly hope this works because it would encourage others to do or even think about doing the same.

I'm hoping with this they'll re-release the original Gundam (it deserves a boxset re-release for it is still one of the best in the Gundam series along with Zeta, those two are the best) and maybe they'll bring ZZ, Victory, Turn A and X. Out of those though I'd most like to see them bring Victory and X which are sorely underrated and under appreciated that it hurts

Bandai previously had(well, still has) Gundam 00 available on Youtube, since it has been airing I believe. However; it seems that it was only restricted to the US, and region banned Canada even.

I thought Gundam X was cool and a little different from its counterparts. I wish Bandai Entertainment would license it.

After War X is probably my favorite AU series (up there with G) as it keeps alot of elements of UC and focuses on the idea of newtypes and gives it a greatly unique twist which is great. Plus the whole Mad Max setting was cool. Had alot of depth and substance and had no unlikable characters in it. But because Gundam has little to no popularity in the US, that, ZZ, Victory and Turn A will more than likely never see the light of day. Especially Victory and ZZ which even though I loathe ZZ because it could never get its bearings back after those first 23 episodes, the middle was fantastic and the end was alright.

I'm suprised you guys on MAL just posted this cause this news has been on ANN for almost two weeks now. I even posted it to the Mobile Suit Gundam club. Just thought because it wasn't posted then that no one cared.

Looking at the titles (especially Gundam 0079), it's probably going to be dubbed. While I don't like dubs in general, it's a great way to bring the series to more people.

No way V, Turn A or X are gonna be dubbed, so I can rule out ever seeing those series in such a manner, I guess.

Yeah well... it's been always this way, that's why I don't buy licensed shit. All those companies think South America is the world's backyard, so be it!

Bandai is doing it right. With any luck this will lead to a resurgence in the popularity of Gundam here in the US - since Gundam Wing, no one seems to be excited about Gundam anymore, and that's too bad.
