That OP is a bangerrrr and I love how they use child VA to do chilren's voices. It sounds very realistic. This story is also reminiscent of Kakushigoto, I wonder if in Japanese culture they really like single father stories?

What an odd sequence of events. Wants to get good food for child, decides not to go to a local restaurant but to instead call up a restaurant suggested by a stranger, runs in a hurry to the restaurant, gets told it is closed, decides to stay in a restaurant that shouldn't be operating to watch a teenager struggle to make rice, eats rice with the teenager.

The tears are flowing from Episode 1. At first I was worried about the animation, I think the colors could be better. But the art got better as the episode went on, and there is additional detail not present in the manga, so it ends up being a very beautiful experience and lives up to its promise.

Despite being a single parent, he does everything he can to maintain his child's happiness. He is going through the motions but never lets them affect his relationship with his daughter. I love that.

Simply gorgeous. The first episode already made me cry. We generally see women, trying to raise their children alone, and always going the extra mile for the good of their children. But what about when it's the man? Can't he cry? Can't he despair? Can't he just go crazy aimlessly? I'm not saying that everyone thinks this way, but the majority of society today sees men as unshakable beings who cannot and should not show weakness. The scene of him crying when he saw his daughter eat with such pleasure reminded me of a day of breakfast with my grandfather who raised me in place of my mother who always worked, and a man (my father) who never wanted to take on the responsibility of having He got my mother pregnant after meeting a few times and left. Exciting. It's a shame that they gave me spoilers because the story ends in an open ended, but I still have high expectations for the next episodes.
