| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well that introduced quite a bit but we get familiarized with Saiki (and as a baby!) He has psi abilities and is obviously not quite normal. Meanwhile, I think the episode's quality isn't that good. But still, I did like the gags about it so going to stick around for more. Also curious to see how much they plan to adapt the manga out of this. |

| I don't really care about what people thinks about this Anime. For me, this is just hilarious, especially during his childhood. But Saiki do have a point of what he thinking though, about "perfect life of the happiest man who have everything in the world". It feels not so "challenging" anymore" now that you can choose what you can get. Just like Saitama, more or less. LOL |

| It really frustrates me how the format is so weird. Not sure why Funimation is streaming every single short, when they could just stream the full length compilation episodes. Anyways, it's clearly not a high budget anime, but it doesn't need to be. I enjoyed it, and I think it handled the source material pretty well so far. I like the fast pace. |

| After first comments I was afraid the quality will be on OVA level but it's quite good! Not brilliant though. The animation of Tanaka-kun was great even though manga has very simple style. | That was... great. An ESPer's everyday life and all the problems resulting from it? It sounds like the synopsis of an 80s thing. So happy this summer is ESP-summer! It is very static and has "strong" colours but I don't mind this for a 4mn daily gag. Now it is even harder not to look for the manga on the internet. By the way, since it is a Shonen JUMP gag manga, I suppose the original has 15pages chapters? Because the short felt more like a 4-koma adaptation. 5/5 |
| I'm glad it's a 5 mins long episode. I don't know if I would be able to stay awake with that monotone. P.S. I read the manga too, but then drop it at around chapter 20 (?) forgot. Will see if this will help me go back to read it again. |

| @Surf_rock Thank you. I knew it wasn't a 4-koma but I was wondering why they cut down something already shorter than average (since gag manga chapters in WSJ are shorter than non-gag ones). Unless the compiled episodes will be equivalent to maybe 2 chapters. Now, I know I have something waiting for me from the beginning. *-* |

| That was an alright first episode. The ending felt super abrupt. Low budget animation, but whatever. I read the manga, but ended up dropping it because only 17 chapters were translated. I'm waiting for two other characters to show up ^.^ |

Chii's Sweet Home (for example) did the same shorts-and-compilation thing, and MAL counted each short as an episode for that. Again, though, this is just a guess. |
