| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well that felt nostalgic. But still, not really used to the CGI stuff yet and action scenes. I really dig the music they used for the episode though especially upon Guts remembering about Griffith. So in essence, the show assumes the viewers are pretty familiar with the franchise already. Seeing Guts kicking ass was a pleasant sight to see though even with the narration except the shitty choreography. Lol Puck  |

| The only thing good so far is the OP and the OST. That Blood and Guts remix is dank. The rest however is as nightmarish as the Eclipse. The Idea of Evil is behind this amount of quality. |
 Bastardizing the story to get idolmaster Schierke in. Shit CG (but we already knew that). No care or love given to any part of this. | As someone who doesn't really care about the CG the only thing that could've bring down my excitement for this series was a not faithful adaptation. Guess they still managed to screw that up sigh |

| It's not the best adaptation, but the first episode wasn't that bad at all. Yes, the CGI is pretty bad, maybe even worse than the recent teaser. But the voice acting, style, music, all was top-notch. |

| Opening, ending, soundtrack and voice actors were amazing. Animation was pretty damn bad, preview looked good but this is just dissapointing. My main problem is WHY THE FUCK IS IT SO ZOOMED IN ? It feels like I'm watching something 2x zoomed, everything is so upclose, guts whole body was shown maybe for 3 seconds throughout the whole episode. I don't give a fuck about guts neck, legs or chest hair, if they zoom out 2x for the next episode, I might forgive them, but this is just downright terrible. Now that I think of it, it's not even cgi that was THAT bad, it was the fricking zoom in. Maybe it's some bad version that I downloaded, but damn it was bad. |

| I really wasn't hopeful for much but I mean come on! Wtf is with this steaming pile of mediocrity?! I knew the CG was terrible by the teaser yet it managed to look even worse in the full episode... I'm so saddened by the direction this is going as well as the 'style' it's being presented in. This will be painful to get through. |

| This was.... horrrible. It was barely animated, the pacing was off, the parts that were animated were awkward as all hell, and the CG looks worse then the PS2 Berserk game. Wow... just.... wow... And the total slap in the face? It's not even a good adaptation. |

| Can't believe noone but myself is mentioning the zoom in. Am I the only weird one ? I felt claustrophobic throughout the whole episode. It amazes me how noone else noticed. |
| Honestly the best thing about this adaptation is the soundtrack, the OP & ED music and at last the 20 seconds of 2D bits we get per episode. Oh and the guitar riffs are nice. |
| Worse than expected. Good insert songs and OP. The 2D parts are great, I don't know why they have 3D-CGI obsession... But, I'll keep watching. |
