Excluding DragonBall Z, which I started watching in 2004 when I used to go and rent the DVD's at Blockbuster.

My first legit anime that I watched from start to finish (which also happened to be in English Subbed) was Wangan Midnight in 2009.

If you live in Asia and you've ever been to the arcades you'll know of a driving game called Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune, it used to be a lot more popular than Initial D. I used to play it like crazy back in 2007-2010 and while searching for videos of it on YouTube I found the anime in English Subbed so I watched it. :D

My first anime was Dragon ball z. I watched it on cartoon network. At that time, i thought it was some cartoon made in America. I had no access to internet whatsoever when i was a kid as my parents were strict. After few years, I started watching bleach from animefreak.net.

My first animes was VHS tapes of Sailor Moon, Doraemon and Dragonball that was sent from my relatives in Hong Kong who wanted me to learn and maintain my chinese. And I just consumed those tapes along with my Disney movies. Didn't know they were anime or that they were available in english until I was about 14 years old, got quite a shock lol

My first anime might have been Sakura CardCaptor, and I used to watch it when it was on TV.
But the first anime that got me into the world of anime was Inuyasha, same when it was on TV on a private channel (specialized in anime) that we could test for free.

I received Ninja Scroll on DVD as a gift somewhere around 1995 or 1996 or so. About a year passed before I even watched it. It was decent but it didn't get me into anime. From 1997 to 2014 I only watched maybe 10 series total (though I re-watched Rurouni Kenshin several times). Computer gaming was my main hobby.

In late 2014 I watched Girls und Panzer on Crunchyroll and THAT got me into anime and I haven't looked back (though I now use kissanime not CR). I still game but anime/manga is now my #1 pastime not gaming.

The first anime I ever saw was Sailor Moon and a few episodes of Dragonball since they came on back to back in the mid-90s. I also remember Speed Racer and Battle of the Planets being shown on Cartoon Network too around that time. Kind of weird to think it's been 21 years since then.

My cousin was sitting on my bed watching 'Peach Girl' and I thought "She still watches Cartoon, huh?"... After laughing at her for a good 3 mins and there was no reaction, I decided to take a look only to be mind blown, like literally. I watched the rest of the show in YouTube since she didn't give two shit about her surrounding and I didn't bother asking her questions.

My first anime was Digimon. I watched it on TV with my sisters. We liked it alot then one of my sister searched more about Digimon. Then we found out about anime but soon new animes like One Piece, Beyblade, Naruto and some others were aired on Tv but just of few episodes so we bought dvds of lots of animes: we watched bleach, One Piece, Naruto on dvds.

Well the first have been digimon and pokemon and then a few years later naruto, but i don't consider those my entry into the anime world. A long time ago the first season of bleach aired on TV and it was in japanese (naruto, pokemon and digimon were dubbed), and then i decided to look up bleach online and found out that it is still airing and has much more than just a few seasons. And that's it i guess.

My first anime that I ever watched was Inuyasha when it played on Toonami back when I was a little kid more than a decade a go. When it comes to the first anime I completed, it was Angel Beats subbed on Netflix in 2012 and man..... that made me ball my eyes out. It was my first anime I ever completed and I would've never thought before that a animated series could make me feel so sad. That series made my love for anime grow so much. Here I am now in late 2016 with almost 500 anime series completed as well as a lot of re-watched series

I skimmed through HOTD episodes when I was in 3rd grade, as well as watching hentai (can you believe YouTube used to have hentai on it? Yeah, me neither). But I properly started watching in 5th grade when my friends mentioned Death Note and I went home and read the first manga... then I bought the entire anime and watched it on my TV.

The first anime i watched (i didn't know it was anime) was either Naruto or FMA 2003. I watched Naruto on TV and FMA on DVD. The first anime i watched, knowing it was an anime was Date A Live, it was pretty mediocre, but it was a nice start. Also Yu-Gi-Oh may have been the first anime i have watched, but i don't really remember, i actually have the DVDs.

I can't remember properly, but I remember this old man watching some animated girls being raped by boys. I think it was a hentai, and it ruined my life. That old man ended up dying the next day. He probably ended up masturbating a bit too much, or even I coulda killed im.

Actually, I remember. It was Doraemon.

i found the first anime I COMPLETED on a top ten romance anime, it was papa no iukouto wo kikinasai (i know, it's not a mainstream anime) and it was just because of a fanservice scene, because at that time i thought that fanservice was rare in anime, i binge watched it on my vita on animereborn.io and from that point on, binge watched every anime i found, i wonder how i'd be now if i didn't see that top10 :)

My dad introduced me to Fullmetal Alchemist around the time when I was 8 and I didn't quite instantly fall in love but felt it necessary to continue watching and by the end of the series I was completely invested in watching more and continued watching a variety of anime until around age 11 where I started to watch more anime by myself when at my mom's house ( Because my parents are divorced ) and have to to the point where I watch whatever I want almost whenever I want if not for school being in my way.
