KATANAGATARI
| I just finished it today. Lost of words. There's no way to describe it in normal terms other than its unique. Its like watching Bakemontagari for the first time almost. I highly recommend watching it, probably one of the best anime I've watched in terms of story. |

| Only if you like Battle Shounen anime. Really, I found Katanagatari to be boring and nothing more than average battle shounen anime; characters shouting names of their technique, there's battle commentary in almost all battle. The plot is quite episodic (12 episodes, 12 swords) that I found to be hit and (most of the time) miss. the fact it was 50 minutes each episode makes atleast me, tired to watch. The villain was comical and one dimensional that make them nothing more than this month's Villain, The characters are very basic and true stereotypes (a genki bói and a tsundere main) that we already seen many times without not much uniqueness. Pointing the positive side, the Choreography was good, the art and soundtrack were cool, and the dialogues is quite addicting especially the bantering between two main, but that's about it. It didn't help the plot and characters were weak and underdeveloped. oh not too mention the ending will make the 11 episodes journey feels pointless. So no for me. |
