Yamazaki is burning all his bridges in the most hurtful way possible. Nothing good can come of ending things this way.

I really like Yamazaki, hes a little bit tempered but totally a bro. Sad to see him burn bridges like that, but judging from the tone this show had up until now it will all get fine in the end

Yamazaki's a true bro and real man. I've always been wondered how'd he afford all those accessories and stuff. But what kind of work does he do tho?

I've always been rooting for him so seeing this turns of events makes me sad. Of course, seeing Sato's pathetic stance in situations like this pisses me off more than anything.

I didn't like Yamazaki before, and this episode didn't convince me to like him either. His only redeeming quality to me is that he might be a bit more complex and believable as a character than Satou.

He reminds me of my own worst qualities and none of the best ones, that's probably the reason for my aversion to him.

I actually would have preferred it if Nanako had simply slapped him or better yet, give him a short "reason you suck" speech. I would have even liked a complete non-reaction, or one where she has a strong emotional reaction but manages to keep her composure anyway. In other words, I don't like that Yamazaki "won." But I totally understand why it was satisfying for some people who do like him. And it's not like Nanako was an important character anyways.

That reminds me, I'm not sure if the fact that Nanako and Yamazaki's relationship has kind of been neglected by the series made this scene more effective or less. It's possible that it had more focus in the source material.

That was incredibly hard to watch. I felt so bad for Nanako. She endured what Yamazaki showed her and restrained herself because she really liked him, making herself super vulnerable in the process (seriously, Yamazaki modeled a hentai character off of her; to ignore that even though it bothered her took major self-control), only for Yamazaki to fucking insult her like that. There's a good chance she'll have trouble trusting anyone intimately for a long time after the shit he just pulled. I know that part of the intent was to spare her feelings in the long run, but really I think Yamazaki just shit all over her ability to personally connect with someone romantically. Not only that, but he did it in a way that absolutely humiliated and violated her.

Fucking hell, Yamazaki.

Deng. He finally got his 3D girl only to let her go <:/

I'm surprised Nanako has earnest feelings toward him. Thought she friendzoned him for good lol.
I guess she just didn't want to admit it to her girlfriends that look down on Yamazaki ;X

So they've moved on from Megumi and her pet brother. I guess that's okay, there was the start of a solution. At least, the hiki-NEET made progress.

Yamazaki got some good development, it's quite sad that he seems to have accepted a boring but stable future. He even embarrassed himself in front of Nanako who surprisingly actually liked him.

Anyway, next episode Senpai returns in some way, which could be interesting. And we still don't know enough about Misaki-chan yet, not by a long way.

I imagine the main protagonist of the game isn't shy and awkward enough because Sato is just trying his best to copy normal human interactions based on a stereotypical normal/happy person.

"Tonight I'd like us to ponder the meaning of life." Damn, Misaki, that's too deep and pessimistic for hikikomori treatment.

Yamazaki doesn't want to breed stupid animals. He wants to develop games, and he doesn't want his entire life planned out. I can understand why he escaped from all that.

"Hey, shit-dip, that's the front door." Sato and Yamazaki getting drunk and snow-gazing together was great, though I don't think it helped them much in terms of game development.

Today on "why getting drunk off your ass is a bad idea": somehow the guys got it in their brain that showing Nanako their porn collection, and the fact that they were modeling her for a tentacle rape scene, was a good idea. And she took it surprisingly well up until the point that Yamazaki suggested she'd like to be raped. Jesus Christ.

yamazaki has grown on me for quite some time

after this episode, he has officially become my favourite character in NHK. he has guts

From his involvement in helping sato and this ep, I see him as logical, pragmatic, and decisive; he do what needed when it counts and know what he is doing. May be he is too decisive on his relationship with nanako. i agree with others there may be better ways.

nevertheless, a real man and a true bro.

You know, seeing Yamazaki going through the "no fucks given" phase is very liberating and entertaining. But I know from personal experience that while it is all that, it is also no the "correct" approach to change thigns for the better. I guess it is progress in the right direction, but it's not how things should stay. I am impressed that the show picked up on that though, and it also ties into the gal game plot and gives some depth to Yamazaki. I know I bitched about the last couple episodes a lot, but this definitely is a step in the right direction! I like it.

I know Yamazaki's situation sucks, but despite that I don't agree with his way of handling things - give this poor woman a CHOICE, damn it! Even if it doesn't work out in the end, hurting himself and Nanako doesn't make him a hero, sigh.

I feel bad for both Yamazaki and Nanako... Yamazaki has no choice, but it feels like he's still going strong. He did what he could but in the end, life forces you to compromise.

I don't know about what he did with Nanako. I think he shouldn't have done it like that, though I understand the reason was because they couldn't be together anyway since he was leaving and this way Nanako wouldn't be sad he moved away. But I think he should've just said it straight, so they can make the most out of the little time they had. Really sad. I hope there's something in what's left of the series about them.

Yamazaki's life fated by the estimates printed on a paper, even after his efforts to escape his fate, it soon catches up to him in the form of his father falling ill, forcing him to have to work at the ranch unless his game is successful.

This ep is mostly pretty chill, mainly from seeing Yamazaki and Sato as best drinking buds just hanging out, drowning their stress and worries together.

Yamazaki is truly brave, having the balls to expose himself to Nanako. Ofc she's not his girlfriend by any stretch, but she is starting to love Yamazaki's characteristic. But ofc, intending to cut any and all ties, he went and purposely be a dick to her, rewarding him with a punch to the face and a relationship gone bye.

I don't want the passionate otaku/game developer/kouhai next door to leave... :(

There were two remarkable moments of this episode: first was of course Yamazaki's decision to come out as super otaku to his crush and even confess to her that the main character of his erotic game is actually her. Second was a writing on Satou's shirt. In Russian this word means d*ck. That small detail fit perfectly Satou's personality. xD

They are not meant to be either way. Yamazaki chose to inherit his family business in country side, while Nanako is an aspiring voice actress that will soon get a job in the city.

Yamazaki'a decision may not be the best but he did it to not cause more pain for both of them in the future. Nanako's not that faithful to him anyway.
Yamazaki is the best character of this series. He's really entertaining and his voice actor really did a good job.

Getting drunk with a friend is certainly a way to get "productive". Here it leads to Yamazaki revealing his degeneracy to Nanako who even likes his guts aaaand he completely blews it.

I think its interesting that he cant just code, but apparently is good enough at drawing to make all the eroge stuff himself. Also I wonder who did the voice acting for the game.

Misaki still in the same clothes, an anime as self aware as this surely has a reason for that

PS: Satou saw his classmates situation and that of her hikikomori brother and still doesnt thank Misaki for the food. Disgusting. Also we still barely know anything about her, lol
