An intense chapter, the highlight for me would be how Rokuro admited that even though death is scary, his wife is a lot more scarier lol. That resonance though...

Great chapter. Glad to see some more Benio and Rokuro action. About time they got rid of that Basara lol. Been a while since the last chapter, so I wonder what's going to happen next.

Anyway, Rokuro has proved to be really strong. He was wounded but still gave Hijirimaru a beating. Let's not forget Hijirimaru was ranked 4th among the Basara, and then even got a powerup thank to Higano given him his power. He was incredibly powerful, yet Rokuro still kicked his ass to this extent.

I wonder what's gonna happen with Benio. Even with her guardian released she's not even close to Rokuro.

you're right benio is always a step behind rokuro is the main man and benio is more like the support but way i see it if we to put in power levels if rokuro was 20 then benio is 5 but together the number rise to 50

My theory on who the sousei and miko actually are.

I think that Rokuro's enchanted guardian is Abe No Semei. There is plenty of proof for this and most people already know this. Kuzonoa calls Rokuro Semei. An impurity calls Rokuro Semei (zemei)(happens in chapter 3). In chapter 9 Mayura in impurity form says Semei while looking at Rokuro. The seal on his chest when his guardian is released is Semei's seal.

I think that Benio's enchanted guardian is the first basara Chinu. In chapter 28 we see a flashback where Shimon lists off the names of the basara, with images from the back of what they look like. If you count the images and match up the names to the ones we already know (Kamui, Higano and Hijirimaru) then you should see that the first basara Chinu has no image. Thats another reason why I believe that Benio's enchanted guardian is Chinu.

I think that Rokuro's guardian represents yang and Benio's Yin. We can see this by the seals on their backs when their enchanted guardian is released. This leads me onto who the miko is.

I believe the miko is and exorcist who has powers over both ying and yang. What Yuuto calls a true exorcist in chapter 14. The parents being the master of Yang (Semei) and the master of Yin (Chinu). The most powerful true exorcist will be born. I believe Arima is hiding this.

I think that Arima is hiding this because some exorcist would not agree with Chinu being an enchanted guardian and or the miko having power over yin.

Thats my theory I would love to hear others thoughts on it and what they think.

Rokuro received a GIGANTIC power-up from Seimei. Before he was pratically a fodder to normal Hijirimaru, he was likely not even on Higano's level given how Higano was almost equal to a poweredup Basara-esque Benio. And Higano is vastly inferior to Hijirimaru.

Hijirimaru's power after absorbing Higano's powers, grows up exponentially, like Suzaku said, it wasn't just a merge, so Hijirimaru's power more than doubled...

Sure Rokurou's powerup gave him a chance to beat Hijirimaru but Hijirimaru would've defeated him at the end since Rokurou wasted all of his power and Hijirimaru straight up TANKED all of his blows, if not for Benio appearing at the end for them to perform an attack as the Twin Stars, Rokurou would've lost.

Now, Rokurou, after this battle, DEFINITELY lost the power-up, because otherwise, all the Basara's from 5th to 11th are pretty much irrelevant...

So Rokurou still has a lot to grow, without depending on Seimei.

Yes, but the final blow was what actually finished him... It was much more powerful than the other Rokurou blows. He took those blows head-on and was about to finish Rokurou after he wasted is powers on those rush attacks. Surely Hijimaru received a beating, but he still withstood it while Rokurou wasted all of his powers.

About the conspiracy... The chapter 34 and 35 haven't been translated yet... So I don't know anything about it, but if it's true... Nice spoiler lol. Not that I mind, but some people do, so be careful.

Rokurou lost his power-up against Yuuto, he surely will lose this one.

One thing I know for sure is the Basara surely won't be irrelevant... Kamui is like a big figure of them, a character that contributed to the growth of both Benio and Rokurou and he's supposed to be fighting them when they are stronger. And Kamui is the weakest.
And even so... There's still the 3rd, 2nd and of course, the 1st Basaras, this last one likely being much more powerful than even Hijimaru with Higano's enchanted powers fused given his hype.

Rokurou didn't waste his powers. It weakened Hijirimaru a lot. Hijirimaru could barely stay standing. That's how weak he was after receiving Rokuro's beat down. I don't think the final blow would have killed him if he wasn't that weak.

No, he didn't lost his powerup. He transformed again when Sayo performed the trial on him. Sure he didn't have perfect control of the guardian mode, but he didn't lose it. And you bet he didn't lose this latest powerup either.

The Basara can power up, so Kamui will probably be a lot stronger when (if) he shows up again. Also, I don't think he will be a major antagonist. I actually think he will be an ally.

Also that final Resonance attack was well timed and badass as fuck, I'm glad Benio is up and seemingly normal again
