| This deserves the attention of more popular Ishinomori creations like Cyborg 009. The atmosphere is top-notch, the paneling and art kick ass and Ichi is a great character. The character drawings almost look lazy if you look at certain individual panels, but as a whole the way it's all drawn and inked feels very controlled and appealing. Ishinomori was not very good at female anatomy to be fair.... but the same applies to a lot of other artists that are otherwise great. |

| I remember begin put off by the first chapter when I first read it. Now I'm giving it a second chance, and it's alot better than I remembered. Maybe you have to be used to 60's and 70's manga to appreciate it. I'm only a few chapters ahead, but if this quality keeps up, I would call it one of the first masterpieces of manga. |

| The first chapter is amazing though. Just look at the transitions from page 27 onwards. Absolutely amazing use of visuals that you can only do in a comic book. |
