| Just read the manga last night and fell in love with it. This movie was amazing! I usually don't watch movies because I have no attention span but I was HOOKED. My eyes never left the screen and I was so sad when it was over. I really need to finish this series. :') |

Their relationship was rushed, with overuse of the same lines (thinking of the poetry where the two dudes talk together at the beginning), the same actions, and no obstacles or drama in their way. Actually strange to see it among the top movies with such a high rating. Bland and tbh. a bit boring. A fine 3/5 or 4,5/9. ^^ |

| While not perfect, this movie seems to avoid many of the pitfalls of traditional BL (excessive rapey fanservice, for example) as well some of the western LGBT tropes (rampant homophobia and insecurity). It's also so lovely to see a BL project that's well-funded: the animation is soft and smooth and really fits the tone of the film. Also, it's really refreshing to see Kamiya Hiroshi in a somewhat seme role... I've been listening to some drama CDs with him and he always plays the uke, but this is awesome. The voice acting as a whole is on point but he was the high point of it for me with his awkward pauses and ramblings. Very nice. |
