You can bring your old savegame right over, or you can start fresh. GT has some really good new ME2 videos that talk about the game, what's new and what's been kept the same.

From the looks of things, ME2 is shaping up to be a lot better than the first one. I hope it's #1 this year.

GT is basically where I get most of my game play videos from. XD I cannot wait to get my hands on ME2. It's the only offline game I was happy to replay several times over. It should keep me busy until Bioshock 2 the week or so later. :D

Wasn't Fable 2 given some sort of "<blank> the year" award? For all it's hype, wasn't it simply just Fable all over again, with very minor additions to core game play, if any, plus a poorly executed co-op mode? and don't get me started about the "ending" =/

Simply saying "hope that it's #1 this year" is basically stating his hopes on it being an excellent game. There are tons of categories for "games of the year" I doubt any one game is going to fill them all. I do hope that it will be good enough to be in the running for the RPG category, even though it's not exactly a traditional RPG.

I'm sorry if you seriously feel that way, but just because I want it to be the best game of 2010 that doesn't mean that what I said was idiotic. It just mean that I'm looking forward to it more than any other title out there. Even if ME2 was the best game of the year, that doesn't mean everything else has to be crap. That WOULD be disappointing, but that's not going to be the case, nor is it ever. With titles like GOW3, SC: Conviction, Bioshock 2 and GT5 among others, this is going to be a great year. I'm sure you're looking forward to something more than anything else and want it to be as good as it can be, but that doesn't mean you're an idiot for thinking that. Try to be a little bit more considerate next time.

Mass Effect 2 can set the bar, but I hope that the other games exceed it. Also, who asks for people to be more considerate? I didn't call you stupid, I called what you said stupid.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from Fable 2 unless you either,

A: Will/have never play/played Fable, then you may as well play 2 since you haven't played the original so you can not be disappointed with 2.

B: Liked Fable so much that you would play another game in the series even if it is basically the exact same game from 2004 despite the ridiculously pathetic hype (especially from the Dev diaries) before it came out.

or C: Can get it the "GOTY" edition for relatively cheap, and there is absolutely nothing else you want to buy.

It's a decent game, but it's only successful due to the fact that all the great aspects of the 2nd game came from the original.

I haven't played the original, but I can borrow it from one of my friends. It's not on my short list of games I want to play, so I'll probably wait until I have nothing else to play. Thanks for the heads up.

Originally, I was planning on buying it when it was first released. I guess its a good thing that I didn't. I think I picked up Gears of War 2 and Assassins Creed on sale instead.

Fable and Fable 2 were awesome games. Fable 2 is better than GoW 2 and definitely better than Assassin's Creed. However, Assassin's Creed 2 is game of the year status..

According to an Email I got yesterday, EA shipped out my Collectors Edition Mass Effect 2, and I should actually get it on Monday. I'll be playing this before it hits retail. :D

What? Why would you even compare games that aren't in the same genre at all?

Everyone knows that Gears has a rabid fan base, but most sane people agree that most of the appeal of Gears 2 is from the horde mode, especially since it's online play is STILL working out pain in the ass bugs. I've also seen AC2 on top pretty often too, and while it is a very fun game, it is still very much the exact same game AC was, aside some new additions. I think the only real difference package wise between AC2 and Fable 2 was that there were a lot of issues with Fable 2. Plus they claimed co-op mode would be included only to have it be a paid ( I think you had to pay for it) DLC sometime after it's release, not to mention you would play on two different Xboxes, TV's, only to share ONE camera... wtf? There was also some game corruption issues. I played AC2 right when it came out, and it didn't contain any real noticeable issues aside from my times constantly being sucked into the game while I literally "monkied" around on roof tops and such.

Both are good games, but I wouldn't call them GOTY. If anything, even being a 360 owner. I'd personally say that Demon Souls is my GOTY for 09 and for 08, I'd say either L4D or Fallout 3.
