You can literally see how people buy Re:Zero's volumes depending on where the anime is right now with Volume 3 being the best sold volume. Overall a solid boost again, seems like episode 7 did it's job well. Volume 1 is almost breaking the 100k mark too. Dungeon still selling well wow. ![]() |

It seems like people read alongside the anime so maybe that's the reason why later volume are not selling as well as the first ones. I think once we hit the second cour ( volume 4-9 ) these volumes start to sell way more :) ![]() |

I've heard the later volumes don't sell as well as the first ones because of the torture/violence themes which the Japanese people don't like. Atleast up-until the completion of third arc, I hope the sales continue the same trend as now :) ![]() Signature removed. Re zero the boost continues even though its probably not going to reach Konosuba standards but it will prob last longer since the series is a 25 epi. A little birdie told me that this Danmachi volume is getting quite the negative reception in JP not sure if completely true Read the first chapter of the manga of Goblin Slayer pretty dark start ![]() Modified by harkan, May 25, 2016 3:12 PM |
Saikyou Series still STRONG! Okitegami returns to the game as well with a dazzling cover. Recent volume hinted a little more to the odd theory of two of NisiOisiN characters being the same. Now, to what extent is he trolling? ![]() |
ColdBreeze said: Nice boost again. Last week was a bit week. I hope the BR/DVD sell well after release. They can't stop right there. A second season is needed. Actually last week it was still better than week 4 and the previous ones. Week 5 simply gave it such a big boost ( 37% ) that week 6's minor decrease felt like it was weak. But hey this week it once again got a big boost Yay! It almost seems like it keeps a high standard and overcomes a "hurdle" which results in a sudden boost. It's actually interesting to look at :D And yes it is ( adapting only about 15% of the story is nowhere near enough :/ ) ![]() Modified by Fappa, May 25, 2016 3:09 PM |

It's actually interesting to look at :D And yes it is ( adapting only about 15% of the story is nowhere near enough :/ ) Week 5 was Golden Week so it is the highest selling week so the drop in week 6 was normal. Yep all the way up to volume 9 which will release while the anime is airing. Give it around 1 1/2 years and we should have enough volumes ( entirety of arc 4 ) :)! ![]() |
ColdBreeze said: That's the question though. Nobody is really sure about how far they will/can adapt it with this pace (which is good btw). If they adapt all the avaiable LN's it would have a faster pace, that's sure. Arc 3 has close to double the number of chapters that arc 2 has ( while the length of a chapter generally is the same ) so we're completely fine with adapting the whole thing. Arc 2: ~45 chapters in 7 episodes Arc 3: ~85 chapters which would be adapted in about 15 episodes A perfect fit :D ![]() Modified by Fappa, May 25, 2016 3:38 PM |
ColdBreeze said: Hm now that sounds promising. It looks really possible even without having a faster pacing(or at least too fast) and to stop halfway wouldn't make much sense tbh. So WhiteFox has to do it, I guess? :D And I can't wait to see the influence of arc 3 here on MAL (reactions and score) and/or Reddit. Yeah arc 3 has 3 times more volumes than arc 2 but only about 2 times more chapters. This means that the chapters are more wide spread for the third arc. That's where the early impression that there is no way they can adapt it without rushing comes from. But once you look deeper into the actual content size it all becomes clearer that they actually can pull that off easily :) Oh yes. Here on MAL, Reddit but especially on the sales. Considering that arc 1+2 is the warm up, I can't wait to see what impact certain scenes in arc 3 have on the sale numbers :) ![]() |

A good bonus for Re:Zero, but it's kinda sad to see volume 6-9 total sales is "low" compared to volume 1. That just shows how much people either go read the WN or dropped the series. I'm hoping it's just that people don't want to get spoiled instead of dropping it. Also, DAL Encore 5 sells 16k wow. Not bad for a spin-off novel without Kotori's illustration (salty :3) Though congrats on the 5th anniversary Date A Live! The "If situation" on Dragon Magazine issue is totally cute. At least there's a Kotori illustration there :3 ![]() |

Ahh alright, thanks ^_^ I had a look at the WN chapter numbers which were pretty similar, so I thought maybe you were comparing that instead. I can only hope that the rest of the adaptation goes well, though I've just had too many disappointments that it's hard not to doubt that. But it's evident that the staff are putting a lot of effort into the project. I'm hoping that the nature of the content itself allows them to animate all of the third arc without the feeling of rushing. ![]() Modified by Urcanpy, May 26, 2016 4:53 PM |
