And they did a really good job! I appericate all the anime original stuff they did now, and the reordering of characters and scenes.

It's a little more impactful now then it was in the manga.

I think you're interpreting the scenes in a different way. She was most likely referring to how Rokuro's earnest attitude motivated her to become a stronger exorcist (which is her main goal if you look at the beginning of episode 4). Regarding her attitude towards Rokuro, that's pretty much how she acted before the Kamui fight or before Yuuto's introduction. The reason why it seems different here is because we're seeing her like this for longer than we did in the manga where her attitude changed really fast after a few chapters.

- The story's lore is being forsakened for the sake of convenience: for example, Rokuro was able to onepunch the fallen impurity in episode 6 but for some reason could not handle the one in this episode just so that Seigen can show up and save the day....not to mention that they changed the impurity in this episode, which is supposed to be any old impurity, into a fallen impurity just because

I'd agree with you here but the anime made it pretty clear in the earlier episodes that the impurities keep getting stronger and stronger for some reason. That's why I don't think it's really unrealistic for this one to be better than the previous one which got one-shotted by Rokuro. Also I don't think they changed the old impurity to fallen one in this episode. We didn't see any human body like the last one in the previous episodes.

- The explanation for fallen impurities was handled and placed better in the manga...in the anime, it's placed in a way that just makes things all the more predictable; would've been better if the explanation was given later to give viewers time to try to figure out the mystery themselves.

I don't really remember when the manga gave the explanations but here they're using it as a redherring to confuse the viewers. It may seem predictable for a mangareaders pov but I've seen many animeonly watchers that believe Rokuro killed his friends because he turned into a fallen impurity.

- More of the story's rules are just ignored for no reason, such as Ryougo and the other Seika dorm guys having access to enter Magano even though in the manga, they are not qualified to do so. In the manga, there are regulations on who is allowed to go into Magano so that weaker exorcists don't get killed willy nilly and have their powers absorbed by impurities. The anime completely ignored that rule. Ryougo and the other guys getting beaten all the time only to have Rokuro and Benio save them further shows that they are very unqualified to fight in Magano but Pierrot insists on ignoring this fact.

Meh the manga forgets that rule later on anyway since after the timeskip you still see them in the Magano with Rokuro and Benio.

It felt inconsistent to me. One episode, he's unwilling to fight and then the next episode he develops only to have him revert back into a coward again in the episode after. ((I'm talking about episodes 3 through 5; in 3, he still dealt w/ his trauma, then in 4 he overcame it by realizing that he would rather fight than lose any more people important to him, and then finally, in 5, he goes back to being traumatized again during a fight before Shimon showed up just for convenience; and suddenly, attitude goes back to being not overwhelmed by trauma in episode 6 when he offered to help the Seika guys)) Also, another thing that Pierrot messed up about his character was that they made him look incompetent as an exorcist in episode 5 before Shimon showed up, even though exorcising is the one thing Rokuro has talent in.

Even if that was what she was referring to, it's still lackluster and makes less sense compared to the manga, which was what I am arguing. In the manga, Rokuro gave her courage when she felt useless and feared that she would not be able to honor her family name. There would be more depth to her words, and more development w/ Rokuro and Benio's relationship, if she said it after encountering Kamui; in episode 4, it just feels...less impactful and "exposition-y" to me.
That's not how I see her attitude. In the anime, her attitude changes for no reason (as if the Kamui encounter already happened), especially since the anime hasn't showed much development w/ Rokuro and Benio's relationship. It was sacrificed in order to show their relationships with other characters instead, which is nice for some people but for me, sacrificing the development between the main characters is a dumb move. The change in attitude makes more sense in the manga even though it's paced faster because of the events that occurred that led to the change --- which was the encounter with Kamui, which the anime has still gotten to yet for some reason...

The only reason I can think of that is making them stronger is because the rule that only certain exorcists can enter Magano is forsakened, giving impurities more opportunity to get more and more kills/absorbing more powers. That rule was there for a reason and the anime just makes the situation even worse by ignoring that rule. But I did not see that, "impurities keep getting stronger and stronger for some reason," being clear at all because in the earlier episodes, Rokuro had no problem oneshotting enemies almost all the time. The only times he couldn't was in order to introduce a new character that will save him, even when it's a type of enemy that he could kill on his own...how convenient.
From what we've seen, fallen impurities have different color symbols compared to regular impurities, shown by the one from episode 6 and in the preview w/ the Hiinatsuki kids. The one in this episode had a different color symbol as well and Rokuro and Benio even said that it was different than the others they've fought, so it definitely changed into a fallen impurity.

It was explained by Seigen when he killed fallen!Tooru Fushihara (wonder if Pierrot will show him since they had his cameo...it'd be a waste if they didn't) and while Mayura got cursed at the same time.
It would have been better if Pierrot kept it that way instead of changing it to having Jissama explaining it now because it would've been more dramatically ironic to have Seigen explaining fallen impurities while his daughter is becoming one at the same time. And the explanation would feel more natural if done the manga's way because right now, the anime makes it feel like info dumping.
Yes, manga readers already know what happens but I dunno, the early explanation makes it the mystery easier to figure out even for anime-only people.

That wasn't forgetting the rule. Two years have passed by then and Ryougo and the other guys could have gotten their qualification by then since they became stronger during those two years.

Main dude is pretty pathetic. I can't bring myself to like him even a little. His backstory, wasn't surprising at all too me, in fact I saw it coming a mile away.

If the characters get better overtime, I hope that time is soon. I don't like any of the characters here so far, though they are tolerable at the least. And I'm seriously losing interest in this anime now. If things don't start picking up soon, I'm gonna drop this.

Oh look, it's the plot. And it's already the 8th episode. Is it just me, or was it a bit annoying that Mayura pulled the "I want you to be safe rather than do what you want to do" kind of thing? And surprise, she gets abducted for Rokuro to save her. The cliffhanger at the end was a little intriguing, I guess.

Damn pretty dark episode seeing rokuros past! I'm assuming rokuro was possessed by a kegare and killed them because he obviously loved everyone there and didn't want to do it so he must have been possessed. Really excited for the next episode! Will be interested to see how benio will forgive him....

Hmm. We finally get some interesting information about Rokuro and what happens? The girl gets fucking annoying. Like Rokuro would go around and kill everybody around him without reason... Obviously the phenomenon that old guy spoke of made Rokuro's power go berserk. I'm unsure if you really can blame Rokuro for that but I guess we don't have enough information yet.

And Benio actually was starting to become more likeable the past few episodes. That was entirely destroyed by that reaction.

On a sidenote: Even before this I was hoping Rokuro would finally stop being a dimwit and realize Mayura's feelings for him but now this definitely isn't gonna change in favor of the twin star shit.

someone named Seigen (old master?) showed up. not sure how i feel about him but , little irritated .. and his relationship with Rokuro, is quite tense and "bizarre" , at least by the looks of it. but damn o.o definitely not someone to be underestimated.

And the big surprise came up, wow WOOOOOW , Rokuro's past coming up shortly and Benio's twin brother,(kinda already figure that out, .. ) But

cause MAL is doing there job for once.
