Dunno what disappointed me more.

The fact that Aur's dungeon has such glaring weakness or how quickly the strategist flipped out...

At least we some backstory on Aur.

That backstory is full of holes at the end... A one-sided tale of what the kingdom saw and nothing from Aur or his mentors' knowledge.

A lot of holes indeed.
And why exactly has she begun to tell all that info? It felt completely pointless to enrage him and then only try to kill him.

I think I know how it ended that way..
(Lady Thoughts) I want Aur as a pawn.
Lady: Believed backstory of Aur
(Lady thoughts) He's all mine now!
(Reality Strikes!) *Aur gains 10 stacks of enraged*
(Lady thoughts) Oh my God! What do I do now
*couple seconds pass*
Lady: Quick! Kill him before you realize I damned us all!!
<Moral of the story> Greed is definitely a deadly sin?

Even though they told some backstory of Aur if felt rushed and lacking hopefully later we get more insight in what actually happened between Aur and his teacher.

I think it's just a callback to all the movie cliche where the interrogating agent intimidate their prisoner by showing they already know everything about him and so he's in a weaker position without any bargaining power in that negotiation (our CIA agents already know your family, your child, all your illicit affairs and how many time you jack off every day. just give up).

About Aur's dungeon, I think it's about expectation from their enemies.
Normal dungeon don't hit a ley line like that, at least probably not one in a million chance. For that reason nobody thought it has that kind of power source to attack.
That kind of brute force attack are also not efficient. More likely the country shouldn't have that much resource to use. This one is beyond Aur's expectation.

well not much of a cliffhanger since we know from previous chapter that his body getting hurt doesn't affect him.
