| There was a time (and by I time, I mean 5 minutes before writing this post because I gotta sound deep af) when I cared about what other people thought about specific anime series before watching or while watching them. Now I just ignore them and come to my own conclusions and on some occasions I'll watch or read a review (sometimes by an angry greek man on the youtubes and whatnot). |

| i completely disregard ratings sure, i will use it if i know nothing of it and want to talk about it but i will choose my anime based on who's making it more often sometimes it is just about it catching my attention, like you mentioned in original post |
