Well said. For sure I would prefer to see Natsu vs Zeref but a filler arc to short the waitning would be fine too

after all, he was pretty much the means that created Fairy Tail :D

I agree with all of you on that but have you forgotten what Hiro Mashima did to rave master SO MANY HOLES IN THE STORY LINE ANIME only 50 episodes and he never even finished it like what the hell i loved that anime it had great potential now its dead

I'm guessing Fairy Tail would come back in the end of this year or in early 2018... because we will have 2nd movie of FT this year so the chance on anime series to continue is a low for this year..... but but... i do hope they continue the anime series soon.

If I had to say, Fairy Tail wouldn't come out with another season quite just yet. Its gonna end up being a long running series like it usually is. First arc being Natsu's, Happy's, and Lucy's adventure in reuniting the guild of Fairy Tail. Then you still have the threat of Zeref. Still in possession of the book of Natsu, Fairy Tail doesn't know that Natsu is the demon of END, which points to a main conclusion is how will that impact the whole story of Fairy Tail. So there's definitely going to be a long story to explain the rest, but most likely not as long as Fairy Tail and Fairy Tail 2014.

The anime Fairy Tail , will continue probably at the middle/end of 2017 ! The manga is almost done , so a new season should be expected , This will be the last season of the series , so it should have 150+ episodes of content , After that the creator said that he will continue the series after a long period of time ! Anyway , i don't read manga because it spoils me the anime , but since the Creator of the anime said that manga is almost done , Expect the animee

well the new movie has been announced its called Fairy tail: Dragon cry. i feel that is all we will get in 2017 and no new season unfortunately. I hope im wrong though as i would looooove some more new FT but i dont see it happening this year. the movie is suggested to come out in spring this year. by the sound of the name it wont be a progression forward in the story. i think it will be do with the dragon slayers maybe some sort of journey for all them together. sounds kinda lame i know but thats the vibe i get from the name.

I think they are going to do the movie that was announced in the manga a while back. You know, the one where Natsu "dragonizes"! After that, they'll probably do the Avatar Arc, then a filler arc, then wrap up the last of the canon arcs. I hope that they will do a filler arc after the final canon arc, just so that we have something to watch once the canon story has ended. A good epilogue always adds this sense of finality, you know? That, or the manga might not be ending and the anime would keep going a while longer. Either way, I am hoping the Fairy Tail will remain for years to come!

To be honest, I'm not really satisfied with how Fairy Tail ended. I at least wanted to see how the guild got back together, so if there is going to be a new series then I'm looking forward to it.

I think 2017 fairy tail will have a fun adventure story. Cuz they are going to rebuild the guild by visiting evry single member with the map Lucy created. Been a while when i finished watching it.

I liked Tartarus Arc but hated the spirits one before it. I hope they continue to follow the manga or reanimate Rave Master either way ill be happy with it.

No, it's an original story written by Mashima

"The movie is based on an original story set in the Stela/Stella Kingdom (ステラ王国), located on a lone island surrounded by cliffs. The original Fairy Tail characters will be seen in new outfits, and new characters will join the cast as well.

The 3 new characters shown are Sonya/Sonia (ソーニャ), Zash (ザッシュ) and Animus (アニムス).

heard word from a buddy in japan that new anime adaptation of manga will begin approx. fall of 2017 and it will be a slow startup, tough coming back to animate a show after a 1-year hiatus to work on other "profitable" projects. I'm using the word loosely in terms of easier to crank out en masse from mangas or ideas that are so developed or finished on the manga side... or ppl demand a remake on a classic, BTW, SHAME ON THOSE WHO DARE REBOOT A CLASSIC! wishing is just as bad.

Well consisting that the Fairy Tail Manga has only 8 chapters left. Its likely that final the manga has ended the Fairy Tail will return for one last season which will be long-running series

If it's around 100 eps I'd be so happy then even if it ends. Tho I'll probably still cry in a corner.. but still I hope there'll be a lot of eps that'd take many days to watch.
