| That torture was unnecessary. Askeladd is so, so cruel. Poor Chanute. He's the only harmless one of the lot. |

| They did a good job of building Thorkell up through the series thus far, you could really feel the threat when Askeladd's band found themselves surrounded. |
| Nothing but tough love here on out for Canute, no more Ragnar to cower under. I was surprised at deserters, and I'm glad Thorkell hacked them down. |
