| I might be too late, but the official shorthand is ネトゲの嫁 ("Netoge no Yome"), according to the author's twitter (@kinekoshibai). Most of the people I talked to just referred to it as ネトゲ嫁 ("Netoge Yome") or ネト嫁 ("NetoYome", which is what I used) until he tweeted that. I think I also remember him saying that they (everyone who works on Netoge no Yome) just refers to it as ネトゲ ("Netoge"). | I just use NetoGe, which, yes, is shorthand for Net Game, but through context, one would know I'm talking about the anime. Chdata said: I thought it was a mix between net (game) / eroge lol. Since this is technically meant to be an ecchi or something. Never heard anyone (in english) use that term until this anime existed, at least. The Ge part of Eroge is already an abbreviation for Game, EroGe is Erotic Game. In Japanese, they use Katakana (the writing format to import foreign words into Japanese), and is written ゲーム, or Geemu (ゲ=Ge), hence the ネトゲ being NetoGe. |

| I thought the abbreviation was Netoge if I recall correctly. I rather like that way of referring to it, it gets the point across of what the LN is about. |
