Depends. I usually watch at least about half the amount of episodes of the anime before rating, but my ratings would tend to change after that. Otherwise I only rate after I've completed the series.

After the first 3-4 episodes. Then change my rating every time it gets better or worse. So, there were cases when I initially rated an anime a 10, but after it was finished, the rating changed to 5 or 6 (and vice versa).

I don't rate shows I dropped.

Usually when I finish/drop/on-hold it, unless of course it's a long show (say over 100 episodes).

I rate them when I feel like I can rate them.

Okay... That sounds weird.

What I meant was, I won't rate it when I've seen 1 or 2 episodes, probably somwhere around 4-5. First episodes tend to be SO AWESOME, but the rest sucks, or the first episode is SO BORING and the rest is just amazing.

I do rate dropped shows. They probably deserve the sucky score.

Only when I'm done with the series/OVA.
Never ever for dropped. Never ever for ongoing.

At the end or when I drop it, usually because the ending heavily impacts on my opinion. Also because when I rate I care alot about how cliche they are, and since cliches can be reversed very rapidly, I can change my mind quite easily so I try not to rate till I finish or drop a series, and I always try to not drop a series.

Whenever I feel the time is right. No, really. All of a sudden I think; 'yes, this show deserves an 8'. Or, 'blagh, I have no hope for this one, let's keep it at a 5 for now'.

But mostly when I finish a show, seldom halfway.

Usually after I finish, the big exception being Bakemonogatari with it's months-away OVA eps.

I base mine on enjoyment after about 5 episodes, and then fill in a ratings chart and change it once I've finished it (only because the ending has an influence on the rating).

Generally afterwards but sometimes when it's about half way I'll pop a rating that can be subject to chage depending on how the plot progresses from that point.

When I'm done watching it. Most of the time though I have a predisposed opinion on what rating it will get.

After I finished the show-- rating it based on my general thoughts on the show. I don't rate dropped/on hold.

I don't drop, so always when I finish the show.

At the second episode or something for most series I already haved a rating on my mind though, the rest of the series will just make me add or take from it.

I usually always rate at the end, but there are some exceptions for endless series like Gintama.

I only rate On Hold/Dropped if I've seen at least half of it also.

I always rate shows I'm watching after the first few episodes. It is my first impression and the ratings almost always change by the time the series ends. I could start out a series at a 7 but it may end up being a 9 or a 4 by the time I finish.

I rate shows after watching the whole thing. I don't drop any anime because I have a tendency of finishing a series once I started it. I just put it on my waiting list if I don't like it and eventually get back on it whenever I have the time.

I rate anime when there's one or two episodes left or when I've completed it. I don't rate dropped or on-hold.

Usually after I finish it, unless it's long (and imo, pretty long is 50+ episodes). Then I'll rate it once I'm about halfway done or something.

I don't rate anything but completes, no exceptions. I usually don't even think about a show's rating until the last epsode.

I only rate at the end as well. But, then again, with my new updated list I don't have any ratings as of yet. Guess I should get on with that.

I rate a show after watching an episode
though the rating changes over time when I feel that
the show is going downhill or is better than I expected from the start

I only rate them on the site after I am finished, but I do kind of keep a rating in my head as I watch which I'll adjust up and down as I go.

Whenever I finish a show. I don't rate dropped shows. I also revalue my ratings a lot as my feeling on the series changes over time or the norm I value series with changes.

Usually after completing the series. Although there are exceptions. Some great Anime that impressed me from the beginning. But I never rate after one ep. I always can find later that this is really shit ...

I only rate series I've already finished watching. If I ever drop a series, I don't give it a score at all.

After finishing it. You can't proper rate something till it's finished (great/bad ending, you know what I mean).

I rate the anime when I feel certain it deserves that rating. I can always change it so it doesn't really matter when.

After completing. I also go back and tweak all my ratings every once in a while.

I tend to rate everything riht after I've seen all of it, because then I can looka the retrospect, the series as a whole, ups and downs etc. As opposed to seeing some and making a prognostication thats it will be the same level of enjoyment with what the rating I gave it. So yeah I leave until the absolute end.

Ratings are given on whim. Could be anywhere from the first episode to several months after completion. Not that it really matters; my scores are tweaked a lot throughout watching (or even after).

i like to rate mine while i'm watching it, so ep 1-2 ish.
obviously i'd change it as i go, so when i'm watching an airing anime, the rate is for what i feel about it during that time.

Usually after 1/3 of the way done, but only if I likeit so far [which indicates I'm probably gonna finish it that day or the next]
Otherwise, I wait till I finish and it's usually a 7 or below. ;x
